| Bad walgreens experience!
I've never had a bad experience with WAGs until today! I went to go buy some Complete eye contact solution and listerene mouth wash and when I handed the cashier my coupon for the listerene he said that he couldn't take the coupon because it was in black and white which meant that it was a fake! And he made a point to say it out loud too so that everyone could hear!! So I politely told him that it wasn't and that it was a printed one from the Internet and he said no he will not accept it per his manager saying that if you can see the watermark in the background then that it's a fake. And I said all of them have the watermark even the colored ones and I showed him one of my colored ones and still he refused to take it. He actually made a scene so that everyone would think that I was using a fake. So I asked to see the manager and he said that it wouldn't matter because it's still a fake but he called the manager anyway. I was soo embarassed by this point and the line was getting longer and people were getting fruastrated so finally the manager comes up and he says to the manager "this lady is trying to use this fake coupon" and the manager took one look at it and says no thats not a fake and walked away. So of course he's embarrassed now for making a scene and I didnt say anything cuz I just wanted to hurry up and get out of the store. Has anyone had any experience with their coupons?

wow, how sad that happened to you....today at walgreens 2 of my coupons that I printed offline ( color) would not scan for some reason and the cashier was very nice about it and after trying several times, just entered the amount by hand and deducted the amount...so sorry you had this bad experience...sad to say but good customer service is hard to find sometimes these days...I think I would call and let someone higher up know of this experience, it is unacceptable,

Thank you! I'm sure it was just an inexperienced cashier. As always I'm courteous because I know I'll probably end up going back to that walgreens but yes I will be emailing corporate and let them know. They just need to educate their workers a little better. But thank u!!!

oh geez! I am so sorry that happened to you! I had an issue at walgreen today with one of my bayer aspirin coupns.. it was in color but wasn't scanning ... the cashier called up the manager and I was thinking "great I'm going to have to put these back because I'm not paying almost $5 for one!" but nope! the manager was awesome! cashier told him it wasn't scanning so he looked at it and typed in the amount for both coupons! I would definitely write coorporate if I were you! the way that cashier handled the situation was beyone wrong! |
