| My 10/30 trip w/pic 100_0429.jpg 100_0431.jpg
A picture is always worth a thousand words. I did this in six transactions at one store (only one in our town). I did four small transactions, put those in my car and shopped for the rest. My total OOP was 40.20 before tax. This included an inkjet refill (not sure if you could tell from the pic). My receipts say that I saved 121.86 and I left with 50.50RR. Now something interesting happened when I went in for the second round of shopping. The BA cashier was talking to the store manager at her register when I came back. I could catch a few words and they were discussing coupon use and how a woman (not me) had came in and cleared the shelves of all the ThereaFlu. Man. asks BA if she had a coupon for each item and BA says yes. Well, I continue shopping and go to the appliance aisle to see if they had any clearance items. On the top shelf was a deep fryer and a Coffee Maker (Black and Decker) with a price sticker on the shelf for $7.59. Of course I cannot reach it, so I go back to the BA and ask if that is a correct price on those two items. The mang. says that no it is not. So we all three go back over and clerk gets a ladder to get one down to scan. Of course they scanned 29.99. Mang. explains that there were some for a special and these were not included and has the clerk take down the sign. We have a little laugh about it and all is fine. I go to photo to pick up my refill and clerk-guy says he will check me out there. He finishes and I hand him my coupons about the time the mang. walked up. Oh boy, when clerk starts scanning, he asks if I bought everything I had coupons for, and clerk tells him certainly she did. He checks EVERY coupon after it is scanned and starts telling us that they had just had a meeting about coupon fraud and how Wags employees at another store had figured out a way to buy small stuff with a larger RR and then have the balance put on a gift card. After my coupons and RRs my total was 23.62 from a 79.?? starting order. Mang. says that Wags Loss Prevention was getting down on coupon abuse and wanting examples. Mang. very kindly asks if he can make a copy of my receipt and take my coupons that I had used, so he could fax them what I had done and more or less prove that this is what has happened at his store, and if it is wrong, then someone needs to tell him how to do it different. At no time did he accuse me of fraud or cheating the store. I even asked, "You do get reimbursed for the coupons, right?" and he replied yes we do. I realize this is long, and I was not the least offended by what he did to me, but I hope this doesn't mean they will try to stick some silly rule in there that is not justified. Should I email corp. or not do anything at all. I would like some input on this. I usually do my shopping in the early am (6:00am), but I have been off work all week due to a pulled back muscle and I wanted to do one trip this week. I do not encounter a manager at 6:00. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Madmurphy or Sleepy would you all do anything or nothing at all?
