 Best/Worst Trip to Walgreens Ever!!!!
I went to Walgreens Monday (Yes, I'm a little late to be posting, I know...) and I saw that the scented oil and compact Air Wick i-Motions were on sale for $3.99. Yes, I freaked out and started going through my coupons to see if I had any $4.00/1 cpns. I did!!! I did 3 seperate transactions, and each was awesome and scary in their own way... Transaction 1: I had a guy named Bill ring me up, and after he scanned my first Air Wick cpn, he looked at my second one and said, "You can only do one of these per transaction." I'm like, "No, it says per purchase. That means one cpn per item." He wasn't caving, so I told him to just take it off. Here's my transaction for him: (1) Air Wick i-Motion @ $3.99 - $4.00/1 CPN = $0.01 overage! (1) Gillette Fushion Razor $8.99 - $4.00/1 CPN = $4.99 (1) Puffs Tissues @ $1.49 - $0.60 in-ad CPN = $0.89 Bloonies 8 pack (Clearance) @ $0.25 Used $2.00 RR Total B-4 CPNs w/tax = $15.64 Total After CPNs w/tax = $5.04 Got back $6.00 RR for razor. $0.96 MM!! I was fed up with him, so I went to the cosmetics counter and did 2 additional transactions there. I had even more problems... The lady ringing me up flipped out when she saw how many Air Wicks I had, and she went crazy when she saw I was getting all the Air Wick free... I ended up putting two of them back because of her... GRR! Here's how the second transaction went: (3) Air Wick i-Motion @ $3.99 - $4.00/1 CPN = $0.03 overage (1) Gillette Fushion Razor @ $8.99 - $4.00/1 CPN = $4.99 (1) Nail File (Filler) @ $0.99 (1) Candy Cell Phone (Clearance, BTW, the candy was horrible!!) @ $0.99 (1) Zantac @ $8.99 - $5.00/1 IP CPN = $3.99 (1) Puffs Tissues @ $1.49 - $0.60 CPN = $0.89 Used $2.00 RR Total B-4 CPNs w/tax = $34.97 Total After CPNs w/tax = $11.37 Got back $6.00 RR for Razor, $9.00 for Zantac. $3.63 MM!!! Third transaction was the worst. I figured out later that the lady was getting ready to go on cigarette break when I walked up. BIG MISTAKE!! On this transaction, she kept telling me that I had more coupons than items (I didn't) and that she wasn't allowed to adjust the price of the Air Wicks to match the coupon, and vice versa. I was like, "What???" Here's what the third transaction looked like: (7) Air Wick i-Motions @ $3.99 - $4.00/1 CPN = $0.07 overage (1) Gillette Fushion Razor @ $8.99 - $4.00/1 CPN = $4.99 (1) Candy Cell Phone (Clearance) @ $0.99 (2) Puffs Tissues @ $1.49 - $0.60 CPN = $1.78/2 Used $1.00 RR Total B-4 CPNs w/tax = $43.49 Total After CPNs w/tax = $9.54 $2.60 of this was tax!! Got back $6.00 RR for razor. Like getting everything for $3.54!! So my grand total after three tiring transactions was like making $1.05. Considering I got tons of air fresheners and razors, I'd say I did all right... (Sorry post was so long...  )How did you do at Walgreens this week??   |
