Okay, so I went today to get the trident and the cereal. I wanted to do a small transaction so I would be able to get into the groove again. Here's how I did. Could someone tell me what i did wrong? Or what the cashier did wrong.

= a big mess because the register beeped and the cashier said he couldn't do it. he looked at the receipt and said must be the tax and I said, there's no tax on food. but he wouldn't listen to me so my friend had a box of goobers and I grabbed them from her which they were

so in the end I paid 1.87 for the cereal and the goobers
What did I do wrong?

Now I'm sitting here looking at this remembering that I needed a filler cause I had three "Q"s and two items to start with. OMG dum dum me.

Don't feel bad or call yourself names!! WE've all done this and sometimes I still have to reach and grab a piece of candy, I forget mainly where I'm in a hurry!! This is the learning process, I'm just old...

This has happened to me a few times too. Usually the cashiers will tell me I need a filler, maybe your cashier was new and didn't know? Don't beat yourself up for this, just remember all the great deals you have had and let this one slide off your shoulder.

Thank you so much couponmama62. I appreciate that, I really do. I wanted to roll something small and with the cereal being such a good price I figured why not try it with the gum. You're right I shouldn't call myself names. LOL. Sometimes the lights are on with me and no one's home. LOL. Thank goodness I didn't try to roll my fusion RRs. WHEW!!! (wiping sweat off brow) he he. I was at lunch so I was in a hurry the Wags is a little far from work. Thanks again.

Yep, 2 items, 3 coupons. I always seem to miscount those and end up grabbing the cashier's candy bars as fillers.

I STILL do this! and sometimes I go to my car and sit and stare at that dumb receipt forever trying to figure out what I did wrong then...lightbulb! FILLER

You still did great even with the mess up!

Thank you ladies. Its so good to know that I'm not alone in this. LOL. It really is like a lightbulb happens. I'll try it again later. I have more trident Qs and I think there were some in this weeks inserts. YAY me.

Oh Janet, I did this many times...you are not alone...especially when your in a hurry, or when you go in for something and they don't have it, then I get all messed up, foget what I'am doing, so believe me you are not alone....

I get flustered. I panic, start looking to see what else I can buy, or all the transactions then have to change. I've gone out to the car a few times and switched everything up, literally felt nauseated after cause my brain was working on overload. LOL.

Happens to me often, and especially when a line starts to form behind you! Happened to me today as a matter of fact! (And, I forgot to have the cashier scan the ad Q for my 2 Frappucinos, too!) But at least I had the foresight to bring about 5 pencils with me just in case...Only been at this a few weeks, hopefully it will start coming easier to me soon before I run myself broke

Dont forget you can use the BOGO Trident Q with the .75IP's you have to make it a better deal. just make sure you grab a pencil from the Halloween area

Thank you for telling me about grabbing a pencil. I was just going to ask if a pencil was a big enough item to add for a filler. Wasn't sure if it had to be something over .50. Thanks savvymomof2.

But you know I'm still a lil confused. If the total of the cereal was $3.50 and I had $2 in Qs and $1 RR why didn't it just take the RR as part of the payment. Afterall isn't that why they give you RRs to use as payment? I'm really acting like this is the first time I've done RRs LOL. Wags hasn't had anything that I've wanted or needed for the last few months and I did take a break for a while.

I had a similar experience at Wags yesterday.

I was buying 2 of the Quilted Northern TP, 1 chapstick, & 1 Vaseline. I had 1 coupon for the Quilted Northern, 1 coupon for the Vaseline, and was using $10 RR & $4 RR. The cashier entered the MQ's first, then tried entering the RR. The $10 RR took, but the $4 one beeped. The cashier was very nice and agreed with me that the machine should not have rejected the second RR. She continued trying to push it through and it wouldn't go. Finally, I asked her to void out all the coupons and put the RR's in first. When she did that and added the MQ's last, they ALL went through!

Just wondering, should we give RR's first, then MQ's coupons?

minahsmom - can I ask what your total was before your Qs and RRs
leeng - what were your scenarios

Anytime you are using RR's and Q's you need to give the RR's first then the Q's and if you are using Wags Q make sure they put them in first. I think when they did the reset of the Wags they also change how the reg. take coupons and RR. If your not sure if you need a filler just have a couple of pencils with you as fillers. HTH

Wags is hard to figure out and when I think I am finally getting the hang of it I do something silly. Last night I went into Wags and did another Theraflu purchase with a few other items and silly me, I paid with another 8.00RR from Theraflu. I was so bummed when the 8.00RR didn't print for those purchases. Luckily, I had a nice Wags manager. I told him the 8.00RR didn't print and he didn't even question why it didn't ring up, he just force printed it for me!

I get confused. I see so many posts about the order to hand in the Qs. I see so many scenarios

RRs
Wags Qs
Bogo
Manu Qs

or

RR
BOGO
Manu Qs
Wags

and I've seen some hand in the Qs in catergories. RRs, XX manu Q with xx wags q, YY manu Q with YY wags Q. So I'm still not sure.
