Every time I go to Walgreen's, the FAR or on sale items are NEVER in stock. Whenever I call in before hand, they tell me to "check on Friday". Come Friday, nothing's there.
I really want the Almay mascara and the L'oreal Moisturizer from this month because I actually do need this stuff. I called my store again to ask. The BA told me "Call back in an hour... I'm not sure if we have any and plus I need to buy some for myself too first." What does this mean... are they hoarding it for themselves?
Anyway, how does everyone else manage to get the FAR/cheap items????? It's been all month and I still haven't been able to locate them.

My wags rarely has anything in EVER so, I hardly shop there. Unfortunately my cvs is becomming the same too

Get a raincheck. Also let the manager that you been in every week for this item. So if they dont get it in before the rebate is over. They will have to give it to you for the rebate price.

ugh I know the feeling I just went and only wanted to go to one store and get a couple things and couldn't find half the stuff so went to the other Wags and they were out of some of the stuff also. I am going shopping friday also so hopefully they will have it then.

I think next time I'm just going to buy the products as soon as the store opens without waiting for it to go BOGO or whatever

E-mail Walgreens. I had some really big problems with this happening and actually had a manager HAND DELIVER some Cottonelle Fresh Wipes to my house because of me complaining of them being out of so much stuff. He gave me the fresh wipes because that was one of the things they were out of that I had gone in there for (had a Walgreens Q and a Manu Q for them....of course!)

The times I have e-mailed them they have been very prompt with their responses.

I waited and waited for the FAR items and finally had $20 of RR expire because I couldn't get out of town to get there - live 25 miles from my Wags.

It so maddening!!! It is trying to roll the RR without the items in stock that is the problem. My store says they don't order anything - whatever they get is just sent to them - they have no control over that. I don't know if I believe that!

try finding out what day your store gets their weekly delivery - mine is thursday so i know to wait until that afternoon and early evening

I've seen some stores with the plastic truck bins in the aisles for days doing restock. Some stores are so slow. If you get to know the girls in cosmetics they can really help you. Sometimes the girls at my favorite store would go looking thru the bins to find what I was looking for. It always pays to be nice and friendly.

Mine opens at 8 am, I go first thing in the morning the day of the special. If FAR then first day of that or if weekly special the Early sunday morning.

Of course mine will not combine ES Qs that say manufacturor with my cut out of the paper manufacturor...since both are manufacturor Q's...the one in the next town does...so that's why I can never find anything there. So a small price to pay for having plenty in stock.

I never haven an issue with RR deals being out of stock or mixing Qs with RRs. Q's with rebates are fine as well and always in stock.

I was even able to get some Almay with the BOGO last Sunday with a Q and will get it FAR so it was a money maker for me. I'm using my mascara stash as stocking stuffers for my SILs.

I also go the first day (except Sunday) that the sale starts. I have the best luck when the new ESC starts on a Friday or Saturday. A lot of people don't know what the FAR items are until it is advertised in the Sunday paper. I wish I could take advantage of the great deals, like getting the FAR during the BOGO sale but if I wait until then the three stores near me won't have any!

Brand new store and they never have items advertised. I still have a raincheck from that last time Domino sugar was $1.99. I bet I have been there 2 time a week since and the shelf is still empty!

It is frustrating and disappointing!

I have the same problem with my store being out of stock. It is frustrating because if we can find out weeks in advance what will be on sale, they should too. You would think they would want to keep stocked in order to draw in more customers. I have 4 stores within 10 miles of my home and 4 stores within blocks of my work and often all 8 stores are out of the FAR items.

I do not normally have the opportunity to get to the store on Sundays, but I was albe to this past Sunday and I was able to get all the items in the ad that I wanted. But I will say that they did not have a lot of the items, so I could see that they would probably be out of stock before noon.

My store gets their truck on Thursdays. I have gone Thursday afternoon, evening, Friday morning, afternoon and evening. I have tried going on Sunday mornings and asking any employee I see to look in back, in bins, etc. and I have come to the conclusion that this store just does not care.

Example...went yesterday to get Freestyle moniters. NONE. And still no FAR for this month. No Schick razors either. This store is 25 miles away and I also go to the Walmart, Target & Cubs while in town. But the next closest store is 50 miles away and in the twin cities area.

I am ready to give up on my store.

Believe me, it's frusterating for the employees too. For some items we could order 100 of them and nothing will come in. Most of the time it is a warehouse issue.

It's best to get the FAR items RIGHT away; they are the most popular items for the month and everyone comes in and gets them asap. At all stores I've worked at, this has always been the case.

I did the survey on the wag receipt and I told them it was annoying that on MONDAYS they were out of stock of the things in their flyers. The same thing happened yesterday. I told them you need to tell the managers to order more sale items. People don't have time to waste coming there and everything is out of stock.

I know its frustuterating! But even when they order it it doesnt come in half the time??
