Mgr said he's going to be watching me... It's taken me a few days to recover from my visit a few nights ago. The cashier I had was great, no problems at all. She rang a bunch of Fusion razors for me in separate transactions, so I could get my $4RRs. Then we went on to the L'Oreal deal, and I had not picked up the correct product. We were at the cosmetics counter, so that was easy to fix. She needed a manager, though to approve voiding out that item, or that transaction, I'm not sure which. So along comes Mr. Mgr, the same one that seems to come from nowhere whenever I'm at the checkout. Cashier explains what she needs, it gets fixed, so now he's going to watch. I proceeded to put my Glade refills on the counter. I had 6 of the BOGO coupons, so there were 12 on the counter. Now, I did not clean them out, there were other scents still available, however I did take all 4 left of one scent. As the cashier starts with my coupons, he says, wait a minute, you can only use one of these, cuz the coupons says one coupon per purchase. (I thought, here we go...) I politely said C'mon F****, do you really want me to have to walk out and come back in here and have J**** (the cashier) ring all these separately? I mean, I can do that, but it seems like a pain for everyone. He asked me if I really thought that this was okay to do - was I okay with using my coupons like this? Absolutely, was my answer, without a pause. I reminded him I've spent alot of $ in the store since it opened in July, I just happen to enjoy shopping with coupons and being a good steward with my $. He said well he's just being a good steward for the store, and besides when I take all their inventory, then he has other customers upset. I told him then perhaps it would be helpful for them to become familiar with the manu cpns that are coming out along with their sale so they could plan inventory better - and BTW, yeah, I believe when the manus and WAGS both have a coupon deal for something, they are practically us to buy with it - they are marketing to compete with other companies with same product - Glade vs Renuzit is a great example. He questioned me about the $5/20 - did I think it was right to be able to use more than one of those? (He gave me a hard time during the last promo when I showed up twice during the weekend with this coupon - I said if the company didn't want us to use it multiple times, then why do they allow us to print more than one, and ask us to share it with friends?? He gave in that time) Anyway, in the end he let the cashier run the Glade through, but told me he was going to be looking over my shoulder every time I came in. Oh, and then my favorite question: what does one person do with all those (air fresheners) anyway?? I had a hard time remaining calm at that point, but I replied with, respectfully, I need to say it's none of your business. But, I think it's important for you to know that I have been stockpiling for two of the local homeless shelters and inted to give alot of this stuff away come Christmas. I'm not sure if he saw the tears in my eyes or heard the shakiness in my voice, but I was truly hurt and offended. Tonight I stopped in to finish up FAR items, now that they were in stock. He wasn't there but another one of the managers came up to me, and said I just want to make sure before you start your shopping that you know you can only use one of the $5/20 coupons. (!) On another occasion, I asked an altogether different manager if they were doing the ink cartridge refills yet, and he said, no, and he hoped they (!) Oh, and forget about using any RR and expect to get one back. Same mgr told me that if the machine printed one, it was wrong and I wouldn't get it. They have done everything they can to push me right out the door. Well, I might just leave and never go back. But first, I'm going to add up all my receipts, write a letter to corporate and then drop off a copy of both to the local store. And, I'll take their ads right up to Walmart where they will price match and use my coupons, no problem. I have a great CSM that bends over backwards for me there and even if they can't take a coupon for some reason, they sure don't treat me like a criminal. I don't need this hassle from WAGS. If this needs to be moved to Rants that's fine, but I am also looking for some feedback from WAGS shoppers on how to handle this situation.

I compleatly understand your issues. We have a wag that was built about a year ago. I am just starting to do some of the deals. Any who our wag only stocks about two of everything, So I asked for a rain check on the Pert and the Lysol airmatics. They would only give me a rain check for one pert and one lysol. I talked to the manager who first argued with me that they were not on sale that week. UH Duh...... So She finally relized she was looking at the wrong add. I called Distric Office just to clarify what is allowed. Then the local manager called me. When I askedd for a rain check on ten of the pert she treated me like id lost my mind wanting to do a special order. Ok What I don't understand is it is their job to work with the cutomers. So why are

Sorry my 2 month old kicked the post button. /..... So why are we being treated like this. The whole idea of a sale is to get us into the store in the first place. Years ago they use to have give away promos... This is a lot cheaper for them mainly because most people come for the sale and buy other things. I have my scrips filled there so hey treat me with some respect. So yea I compleatly understand where your coming from.

I had to see where you were from to see it this was my store!! It isn't, but it sounds like mine. I have two local stores - the older one is great and I hardly ever have problems using coupons there. The other store just opened this year and they are so picky on coupon usage. I actually just finished sending a complaint to corporate on my experience today. They had Women's Quatro Razors w/MP3 band on sale for $4.99. I found a ESC for $3.00/1 in the new November catalog and I had (4) $2.00/1 MQ's. The cashier was checking me out and had scanned the razors, the ESQ and 2 of the 4 MQ's when she suddenly said "I don't think I can do this" and called a manager on the phone. She explained that I was trying to use a $2.00 coupon on something that was only $1.99. She finished and told me I couldn't use them. As I was questioning why and that the register was accepting them and it was only a penny difference, the manager showed up at the register and said they wouldn't accept them. I asked why they couldn't adjust the coupon the $1.99 and he said they won't and that he had told me this on a different occassion. Now - I have had problems before with coupons and trying to use coupons that were over the value of the product and was told they wouldn't do it, but I tried this time because with the ESQ the register would accept them. Unfortunately this product wasn't available at the other store - but I know they would have no problem with this purchase. Luckily I can do most of my shopping at the older store, but when they are out of something I will go to the new one to see if they have it. I just have to be so careful to not do anything that is even questionable even if it should be okay.

Sorry your having such a hard time. I would definitely call corporate on these so called managers. They sound very rude and you are doing nothing wrong. It also is no ones business what you do with your air freshners. Sometimes I get hurt feelings about how I'm treated, but I find that usually doesn't get me anywhere. Sometimes if I'm bossy I get what I want. Like tonight I was told I could not take my 14 month old's stroller in the dressing room. I got angry and asked for the manager and suddenly a dressing room was available that was big enough and the rules changed! If you choose to shop their again do it when you feel strong and when he comes over and starts mouthing off to you. Say excuse me..... use his name....could you please give me the name and number to your corporate office and you district manager, because I need to talk to them........Get his heart beating. I would call his district manager and tell him all about the crap this guy has said to you and get him in trouble!!!!!!

I am sorry about all the problems you have had. I feel that way often about my wags, but lately I have been lucky with a nice cashier. I am so tired of how they pick and choose what rules to keep the same and what policys to follow. I wish we had a CVS! I would call corporate, and I have before, hopefully they can help you. Good luck.

So hard to believe that managers act like this. Did they forget in retail the customer is always right(well thay are supposed to be treated that way)? They are kinder ways to deals with couponer that that. Maybe he needs to go to common courtesy school. I cannot figure out why they do not want to sell their items, lower stock and raise sales. Afterall that is how they make money. Yesterday I went to one of the stores to get the Loreal and they were OUT. I said "What?" Well she gave me this song and dance about only getting 3 or 4 and they were all sold. WOW is that ever bad management. They only have 2 free items this month and they only get 4 of one of the items. No wonder people complain about stock not being there. Anyway I went to the one farther away and they must have had 20. Plus the gal was sooooooooooo nice and I checked out at the Cosmetic counter and also got the St Ives(which the 1st Wags was out of). Fortunately all the Wags are pretty good at taking all coupons, even IP.

Definitely email coporate. When you add up your receipts, be sure to include the totals prior to all of your manu's, since they get reimbursed, that's revenue for them. Let them know that this manager is willing to let $XXX amount of dollars in revenue each week go out the door to their competitors. That usually gets their attention.

If any store tells me they are watching/eyeing me, I'd feel under scrutiny and that is the issue I will take up with corporate. I'd be careful in saying how many of items I buy each time because it may backfire against me. I always keep in mind that not everyone understands why couponers buy in bulk and what they do with them, i.e., donate, send to family/friends/troops, re-sell (that's a no-no, don't say that! ). Is it illegal to buy items in bulk if you have muliple coupons for them? Definitely NOT. BUT why will I subject myself to scrutiny by doing back to back transactions in just one store while buying the same item(s) per order? This is where most people say and I follow ~ Fly under the radar at all times, as much as possible. I agree that it is best to fly under the radar especially if you want to keep shopping at a particular store. I remember the x/xx coupons when they first came out say ONE per customer so I was careful in using ONE per transaction because I avoid being embarrassed if they tell me its only ONE per customer. I'd just go to the next store or go back another shift if I want to buy more, although that is inconvinient. It doesn't do me good to butt heads with them. I may win at corporate level, but I know it doesn't change their perception of me from then on. I will always have to guard my back. I know there will be times I will commit mistakes and I don't want to think they are just waiting for those lapses of judgment to pounce on me. Therefore, I may win corporate battle, yet still lose the war since I cannot shop in peace anymore. I remember someone said and I always keep it in mind,Be careful and weigh it a number of times before calling corporate, you may just be hurting yourself in the long run. Just some thoughts for the OP to ponder. If you decide to take it up with corporate, I suggest you do it when you're calm and compose. Whatever you decide to do, good luck!
