| Everyone, please...I know it's easy to get frustrated when things don't go the way you'd like or the way you planned, but PLEASE...let's be careful with the name-calling. You can say the managers/cashiers are 'uninformed', but please don't call them ignorant or crazy or any other not-so-nice name that pops into your head. And this isn't directed ay any one person. I've seen it a few times this weekend and it needs to stop. Ok...now in your mind, you can start calling ME those names. Just don't type it out. ![]() |

| ^^thank you for nipping it in the bud. I know many are frustrated about deals not working as planned. But that's just the way it is. sometimes, it works, sometimes, not. Store managers may also have their perception of couponers in general, hopefully, those who read this site will see that we can disagree without being disagreeable. | I agree with Faith - name calling gets us no where. In all of my exchanges with these managers, none of us ever raised our voices. I repeatedly told the manager that while I understand he has a job to do, I did not agree with his interpretation. I don't think he's a bad person, but I do think that he has been inadequately trained, or "uninformed" by his company. However, HE made it personal when he said he was going to be watching me - that was a passive way of saying he didn't trust me - THAT is what I take offense to. Also, the other manager that ssumed I had more than one $5/20 to use practically catching me at the door, leads me to believe that they've "pegged me". And, yet again another manager, when I asked about the ink cartridge refill stating no, they don't do and he hopes they never will - that's just a poor attitude - does not reflect well on WAGS as a whole. |

| My opinion here is you have a BAD manager and there are plenty of BAD managers out there. I would not email corporate I would call them and speak to someone face to face. They will contact him and they will want all the details so be prepared. I would have $$ spent in the store ready even though that will not matter. I try to fly under the radar and peck often so I do not look so obvious. You know the stockpiling. The manager's of these stores just do not get it and it is really bad customer relations to be treated the way you were.......why would it really matter to him how many of something you buy it moves stock and they have so little on the shelf to begin with. I think if he was a GOOD manager he would encourage your spending especially in this economy.......It makes his store look good. Geeze listen to myself a northern MI housewife and I get it why can't he? The I'll be watching you is enough to make me want to shop some place else, corporate will be real interested in what your experience was, PLEASE CALL. Hang in there. |

I think his concern is more on how the items will be paid for. in this case, did you have a coupon for each glade that made them cheap? I think some SM are over analyzing. Really, I'm surprise if they have that much time to "think like a couponer" when they have a lot to think about, kwim? what I'm not sure of is whether sales from coupons affect their net bonuses. if it adversely affect their bonuses, that may the reason why some are hostile toward customers who use coupons, especially those who use lots of them. |

| thanks, all. I don't believe I said he followed me to the parking lot - sorry if I misled you. He DID say he would be watching me, and I'm sure he'll assume his station at the cash register every time I check out. This is a local person that was hired by WAGS. His biz went out of biz, and he was hired because of his experience in the photo dept. His customer service skills now give me pause to wonder why he went out of business... The manager that is most reasonable there is a women - who was transferred here from another WAGS...she has more experience and knows what works and what doesn't. Hilarios: You're not the only person with snow - the UP of MI saw some flakes yesterday, too! I do appreciate your support, everybody. I haven't quite decided how to handle this yet. I'm looking forward to KMart doubles - I may go show the WAGS manager his competition - and my store isn't even participating, but they honor the promos for me. Now THAT's good customer service! |

| Wow... I'm not sure I would have held my composure! I couldn't imagine a store employee telling me "I'll be watching you!". It isn't criminal to use those Q's, that's what they're for!! The store gets reimbursed!! I'd e-mail corporate with the low-down, and also e-mail the compaines whos coupons you were using... I think they'd appreciate a heads-up about a store not accepting they're coupons! Also, if they ACTUALLY did intend for "per purchase" to mean "per transaction", at least you'd know Maybe print that little golden nugget out for next time you go! |

| That is horrible, call The lady at walgreen 800 # she's really cool .. she's not all that familiar with the RR but confirm to her that you have done it before and they will definitely let you do it again, if it prints it's yours. as long as you use a different one , of course. CALL 1-800-WALGREENS and tell them about this. |

| This same situation happened to me regarding the Quattro Shavers last week. I was confused and instead of the cashier politely explaining it to me, he was rude and was severely lacking in customer service. I'm a shy quiet person by nature like another poster and was humiliated. I did however write a letter to corporate with the cashiers name. I don't think that their behavior should go unnoticed. I'm sorry you had to go through that too. |

| I agree with calling the 800#. When our Walgreens first opened in town, we had a manager who was very rude, he had no clue how to use coupons, and would come over when I was checking out and refuse my coupons. He limited me to using ONE coupon per visit per day, regardless of the item. When the benefiber tablets were on sale for $3 something, and we had $2 off coupons, and $2 off ESQ, he refused to allow me to buy more than one bottle, and refused to let me use the ESQ and $2 manu together, he would talk about me to the cashiers, where I could hear them talk about me, and accused me REPEATEDLY of coupon FRAUD, because I wanted to use two coupons for two items, he |
