My first grocery shopping trip with coupons!

I went this past weekend and picked up a few things, and saved some money, but I went this morning and actuall got our groceries for the month, which is everything but the typical stuff you need to go back and get more often.
I also was nervous as I keep hearing stories about having a hard time with coupons so I picked a younger girl that looked really friendly.

I also know that since it is not only the first of the month, but also wacky Wednesday, the LINE I had to wait in outside to go through the managers specials was probably full of couponers.

I saved 18% with coupons.

Needless to say, I was not given a hard time at all, she checked all the coupons like she should but without an attitude I was a little disappointed at waht I saved but I am trying to realize that it is more than I saved any other time and its a great place to start and try to save more next time.

Hopefully once I add to my coupons and get a better grasp on how I need to organize everything (I realized I need to put my list according to aisle and the coupons in that order too) I should be more proficient next time.

The only bad part of the trip is that the MaxiSaver for June wasnt out yet, they still had Mays out.

More savings for me today- My daughters dance and gymnastics ended this week and I went to sign her up for the summer classes, $105 saved and nothing paid because my husband is deployed which gives her a $300 credit
In all reality the savings is good but as you all would agree, having the husband home would be even better. Saving money and sharing with all of you is doing a good job at keeping my mind off from it though!

And I pray your husband returns safe and soon too all ya'll.

You did better than me on your first outing with coupons. I only saved 12 percent but I was pretty proud of that!
