So, I bought $1.99 strawberries yesterday. We ate about half the pack at dinner last night. A couple tasted a little off but they were OK. This morning, several of the berries left in the box were moldy. Since I'm trying to be a smarter shopper, I am bringing back stuff if it goes bad too quickly. I brought the berries to Target Guest Services. I told the woman I had bought them yesterday, gave her my receipt and handed her the berries (the box inside a bag.) She took out the box, flipped it over and EXAMINED the berries, and said, "Did they ALL get moldy?" I was stunned! I said, "Uh, just a few but how many need to get moldy?" I swear she wanted me to ask for a partial return or something since we'd eaten some berries the day before! LMAO! She refunded me but it was truly a moment in Target shopping.

Sounds like the lady at the CS counter @ Meijer when I returned some fruit last summer. She wanted me just to go get a replacement/exchange. I said, no, why would I want more. I want my money back.

Some people never cease to amaze me! This happened to me before and the cs lady asked if I wanted a refund? Duh, you don't think?

I have brought back two containers of moldy strawberries in the last two weeks (I can't BELIEVE how quickly they go, that's gross!) and both times the cashiers looked surprised that I was returning them. Augh, it's a petri dish on my counter, of course I'm returning them! rg, I love that - return something nasty for something nastier that's probably a day older! And pg, love it, do you want a refund? LOL. |
