So I just got back from an awesome shopping trip to Shaws.

I paid a total of $42 for $126 worth of groceries. My Cats didnt print at the end of the transaction, so I went to customer service and they gave me $9 in cash back, in lieu of my 3, $3 Cats.

I got the following

14 bottles of soda, mostly for .50 cents each after the in-store deal, and a green $1.00/2 peelie I found on gingerale and sunkist soda. I used 7 of the peelie coupons no problem.

5 pounds of Russet potatoes
1 pound of sweet potatoes

2.25 pounds of chuck steak ($3.00 off markdown coupons)
2.5 pounds of Sirloin steak ($5.00 off markdown coupon)
3.25 pounds of Boneless chicken breast ($1.99 a pound still!)

2 Uno Deep Dish Cheese Pizzas (These are a bogo this week, plus these two were marked down $1.00 each, plus there was a peelie for $1/2. I paid $2.00 a pizza).

.5 pound Pepperoni stick (with $1.00 markdown)
(2) Mccormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak (with 2 mc's at .75cents each, doubled)
(2) Mccormick Bag n Season Chicken flavor (with 2 mc's at .75cents each, doubled)
(2) Smart Balance Omega Canola Oil Bottles, Large (on sale for $3.00 each and 2 $1.00 coupons)
(1) Hormel Completes Sesame Chicken flavor (.75 mc,doubled)
(3) Super Pretzels, frozen (on sale $2.00 each, I used 3 mcs, .50 each,doubled)

3lb brick of sliced American cheese,white (on sale $5.99)
1 box Batman Band-Aids (1.99 onsale, plus $1.00 mc)

I think this is my favorite deal to date!

Which Shaws do you shop at in Maine?? Your mark down (Managers Special???) are a lot lower than what I see in my store. Where did you find the marked down pizza???

Hey if you ever see a girl with a big purple Case-It binder full of coupons, thats me!

I shop at all different Shaws stores. I personally like the Portland stores myself, but also frequest Windham, Westbrook as well.

The marked down pizza was right in the deli section located by produce. When they marked down the Uno's Pizza they leave it right with the others. We ate them a few days ago and man they were yummy.

I shop at the Wiscasset store and sometimes, only if I am desperate, the Bath store. Unfortunately Wiscasset is such a small store which can be both good and bad, bad because they still don't know how to order for the sales to keep enough on the shelves!! My very worst nightmare!! I like the idea of the big purple case!! I will have to keep an eye out for the mark downs in the freezer section. We have the obvious bread, dairy (which ALWAYS seems to be empty lately) & meat markdowns but I never thought about the freezer section. Thanks for the heads up, if I am ever down your way I'll have to look for the lady with the big purple case!
