| Up duplicate?
I started back with shopping RA a couple of weeks ago so the UPs program is new to me. Today I got 6 of the free snacks at one store then went to another store to roll the UPs on more snacks. When the cashier was scanning the UPs from the first purchase, she told me that the register was saying that one of the UPs was a duplicate. I asked her what that meant and she didn't know but could not deduct it. Does anyone know what this is all about? It didn't bother me much since I was only paying $1 for 6 snacks but wouldn't want to this happen to a high value UP |

I thinking maybe she missed one, and then tried to scan one of the already scanned ones again.

That would be my guess too--I think the +Ups have been acting up this week though, today I tried $8 of +Ups (4x$2--all from the fruit/applesauce cups from last week) and NONE of them scanned (although he entered them manually) and at a second store I tried $6 more (3x$2) and had the same thing happen. I've never had a single one that didn't scan at all before (although a few times they've come up on the screen slowly...)

I have had both issues with UPs before. Certain UPs would not scan and I posted about it and someone mentioned about the printer ink probably being low. I have not had the issue since, so I am guessing they were right! I have also had an UP say duplicate and we couldn't figure out why. It says something different when it has already been scanned. I just took the UP back and used it at another store with out issue.

That happened to me today also, it came up already used, and the cashier typed the numbers is, and it took it!

In my experience, the ones that don't scan are a printer/ink issue. If I look closely, it looks like the printer skipped when printing and you can clearly see this in the words that are printed above the bar code. If you have one that doesn't scan or says already used and the store can't/won't do anything, I would call customer service and they will issue you a new one. |

this happened to me at several stores yesterday, even when i did 2 transactions there so they knew it wasnt me. They keyed in the number and it worked. I was able to use mine with them doing this.
