I this week tried to order some product only to be told that the District Manager is imposing limits of 4 per item, even if the item doesn't state it has limits. This is sad and disappointing. I could understand if I was clearing shelves and they tell me there is a limit, but if I am trying to order in advance to avoid that problem and to not clear shelves, then imposing limits seems idiotic and counter productive to generating sales from customers. Not good business sense Rite Aid...

I was told on Sunday that my RA would start limiting also. The cashier said she thinks the limit will be 4. I wasnt sure if she was telling the truth or not. I surely hope not! I just got my store manager to agree to special order and have ordered lots of coupons for next week's sales!

Imposing limits is understandable, but lets be honest, those who are shelf clearers will find a way around that. They will shop multiple stores - if it's tied to a card, multiple cards.

It's absurd that because either store managers, district managers, or corporate cannot order properly that we the shopper are limited....I used to hate Rite Aid, and now I am beginning to remember why. They will be bankrupt if they keep this up...

I'm sort of torn on this... on one hand, limits mean there might actually be some left in stock if I can't get to the store until later in the week. On the other hand, I make a special trip to go to multiple Rite Aid stores (it's 30-35+ minutes away), so if I'm limited like CVS (i.e.- it's tied to my card) then I'm less likely to make the trip at all, and they would be missing out on my business. I won't go the multiple card route because I'm not cool with it (and that's my perogative). Other than the TP I haven't seen non-published limits imposed at the stores where I shop. Hmmm... it'll be interesting to see what happens. I do feel like it can be frustrating that it seems like individual stores and/or district managers are doing whatever they want, but I guess different areas and different size stores have different needs? I don't know.

I think limits would be good....if done right....per day or transaction. Or maybe just limit the people that they say clear the shelves until the end of the sale. Or at least not LET THEM USE MORE THEN ONE CARD!

| It's not that easy - they can use multiple cards at multiple stores!

I live in a very small town there is 1 store 30 mins away another 45-50 min away and another one 1 hr away but it hard to hit all of the so the limit put a problem on me. So if this is true it going to stuck big time.

I have the same problem - but most people don't. We don't have any shelf clearers in my RA so I don't see them imposing limits. The district manager only imposed one limit - 1 raincheck if the item has ups.

ok..lets say you have two cards....right...typical for a household....no biggie for me....but people report that there are customers doing 20+ transactions like on the toothpaste that has limit two, that means 20+ cards. That has to be noticed. Even if you have multiple stores.....say four....so they use 5 cards at one...then five at the other etc... So that means ten toothpastes at one store. You are only allowed one card per person. Clearly stated in the "rules". If a customer comes up with five cards....I say not allowed. I mean come one we all want a good deal....but I am not gonna use my hermit crabs name just so I can get two more toothpastes! Something has to be done....or it is all gonna be gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Same here. I am in a small town. There are two RA within 20 minutes but other than that the closest one is almost an hour away. If they do start putting limits, I doubt I will go the multiple card route bc all the cashiers and manager know me. I would definitely not shop in there as often and would not have $60+ Ups at any time in my wallet like I do now. It would be harder to roll that many with limits.

I just mean people in areas way away from you are and then Rite Aid will take it out on EVERYONE. I'm sorry if you thought I meant you were doing something wrong. Definitely not. Actually if you wait till late in the sale and it is still there....that is being way nicer then a lot of couponing people I have read about here. That is what I try to do....buy the four (that is usually tops for the amount of q's I have) and then I am done. But to walk in there on a monday and see something that last week there were like 100's of them on the shelfs and them be all gone....it's annoying to me. I guess I get a little worked up about it! Sorry!!! |

You would have had to buy 4 of the Dove to get (2) UPs...the AXE deal is correct.

I think consistent resonable limits are a good thing. Things come around on sale again and I don't mind buying 4. Waiting for the sale to come around and buying 4 again. I'd like to know that I could go into any RA buy what I need and be limited consistently. Instead of wondering how each store is going to treat me differently. |

| Could it possibly be that the stores are ordering correctly but do not get the stock b/c there are store who order numerous items for people which now limit stocks for other stores.

I don't mind limits per day not per week. i.e. 6 UPS of one item per day per card. That would be fine. If it was per week then I would just not go to Rite Aid. Its not worth my time. Actually the limits on deals is why I do not go to CVS anymore. BUT secretly I am hoping they do not limit the deals I want to do next week. I will be really sad since I need to stock up on those items and I've already ordered extra coupons.

everything that i have heard about limits seems to be coming from managers and cashiers making up rules if they want to limit in the store so that there is some for other customers then that is their choice and i know that some stores do limit because so many people have been getting mad about empty shelves but i"m just not worried about corp setting limits quite yet, and i hardly think all of a sudden out of the blue every deal is going to be limited i think it would be a gradual kinda thing. i'm sorry for everyone whose stores impose limits but i don't think we have to worry about corp quite yet ( i have images of RA riots rolling through my head )
