I have a new love; Rite Aid!!

What an absolute pleasure; cut & dry; nice & simple; no problems; & tons of free stuff!

Last week was my first buying experience at RA & it was a great week to start!

I had done 2 separate transactions; got overage from some items; & got numerous packs of multi-pack paper towels; 100 oz Tide & lots of other goodies; each transaction only twenty-some-odd cents OOP; & in each, I got around $40.00 worth of free stuff; PLUS, will be getting back $9.00 in SCR's from them!

First got to RA this week today; & again did 2 different transactions at 2 different stores. The first one, I got 6 packs of Stayfree; 2 Nivea Lip items; 2 pks of GE lightbulbs & Listerine.

Came out to thirty-some-odd cents in tax; & will get back $5.00 in SCR's for the bulbs & Listerine. About $38.00 worth of stuff for basically free; plus $5.00 back on top of it!

The second transaction, I was running late & in a hurry, so I just got 4 packs of Stayfree & 8 Nivea Lip items. Less the MQ's, it was $0 OOP. $40.00 worth of stuff for free!

And the nicest part were the cashiers; & Managers, too, actually; no nasty attitudes; no dirty looks; no eye rolling Actually happy for me! Cheering me on; saying I had done an excellent job & they had to come shopping with me. The cashier had to call the Mgr cause she didn't know how to print a receipt when the total was $0.

Oh; got 5 Game of Life tickets on the first transaction & 9 on the second.

And the best part about this whole thing is I got 2 $25.00 Gift cards a couple of weeks ago for transferring RX's; so I am using the CG's for the OOP, which has only been tax so far. And I will be getting the SCR's; so I hope to be able to get the $50.00 from the CG's back over time! (In the 4 transactions over the past 2 weeks, I haven't spent a dollar in total from the GC's; will be getting back $15.00 in SCR's so far; & have gotten around $160.00 worth of merchandise; all of which I wanted & will use; except for the light bulbs. But they didn't cost anything, & will be free with the SCR; which was my goal; to get the money back in SCR's for the CG amount (over time).

I hope all the weeks to come are as easy as these past ones!

I am definitely hooked on RA now!

I read on one of the RA threads that someone was starting a trading thread for the Game of Life peices; I believe on the FSOT boards?

I haven't gotten to look; but that would be great!

I am one away on so many of the items; but I imagine it is that way for so many people; I know with the McDonalds ones, it was always that way; they made one of the pieces harder to find.

The Rite Aids around me are definately more friendly than the Walgreens! I've had a great week at Rite Aid this week, lots of great free stuff & with just pennies OOP after tax! Plus, looking forward to the SCR!

Hey RA fans! I will be leaving to go be with my daughter in Tennessee the week of 17-23January and I am a CVS and Wags shopper presently. CVS closed in my daughter's town so Wags is all I have to browse bargains. RA is not here in my area of TX but there's a few stores where I will be in TN. So, I gotta take a crash course in RA and I guess I need to know about the Game of Life.

In order to get the deals, you have to mail in rebate form, right? Any other advice? Thanks!

I'm only doing RA the past 2 weeks, so I'm probably the wrong person to reply; but did want to try to answer your questions.

You actually don't have to mail in any rebate form for the Single Check Rebates (SCR) for the month; if you register on line, you can enter your receipt on their web site, which is what I have done. No stamp; no worry about the mail to them getting lost (possibly); seems really easy!

To answer your question about the Game of Life; in short, you get a game "board" where you attach the pieces you get, to try to win prizes. They give you the board at the store, and a piece for your purchase. You get bonus pieces when you purchase certain items.

If you go to the Rite Aid forums here, you will see some threads specifically on that topic, which go into more detail.

Also look at the threads for the particular week's deals; that will help as well with your shopping trips/deals for that particular week.

From what I have experienced my trips the past 2 weeks to RA, it is far less complicated than Wags or CVS; so you will have no problem!

My new love too!! The best part about RA vs. Wags? I get stuff that I will USE at RA instead of stuff I won't at Wags! I love it!! They actually have the best deals on stuff real people use!!
The second best part are the employees!!
