Somehow I was so excited about the deals...I didn't know or realize that the 8/$8 deal was limit one per transaction and I checked out all at once. I thought my bill was high but knew I bought a lot of stuff. So I was looking at my receipt and realized I only got $8 promotion instead of $24. Now what? Do I return everything? Will they credit me because I must be blind? I now see it clearly all over the darn sale paper limit 1 per transaction. Argh

What do you think?

Meijer does a poor job of returns on food because they throw it all away! What a waste. At least this is my Meijer in MI.

yeah target throws it away too... please dont return it... there are atarving ppl all over the world...just try reading the sale paper better next time

I think calling is a great idea and on my list for tomorrow. If I did have to return it, I would buy it right back. I would never let it go to waste. I'm hoping they will just give me a store credit. I loaded up on the maxwell coffee and the cheeses. Both are easy enough to cart back and forth if I had to.

I was mostly wondering if any meijer regulars knew how flexible they were with enforcing the rule. Will they call me stupid to my face for not seeing the clearly visible signage! LOL

I think the wording is one per transaction not one per customer. It is certainly worth asking if you can return and repurchase so there is no waste.

Something similar happened to me once, where I bought all the right items for the deal but the clerk inadvertently didn't scan one of them so the deal didn't complete. I explained at the Service Desk that I wanted to re-purchase, and it wasn't a problem. I always check my receipts before I leave the store; they know I haven't even left the premises.

You're not swapping out any products, just re-purchasing the same items on separate transactions. They may be OK with that. All you can do is ask.

I called the service desk and they said to come in with my receipt. I went today and they credited my credit card!! Yeah

I promised them I would pay attention next time because I know they will never forget my face. Lol
