I went today to use the 5/40 and to stock up on the always pads ( i have enough tampons for a LONG time, but the pads were not on sale (aka free too) at walgreens when the tampons were free... LOL )

Anyway

while I was going for the 40, I went in and all their last clearance clothes were another 40 % off so I decide to hit the 50, and get the GC...
of course you don't have to do this.
remember for the 40 you cannot have any BOGO products in your transaction so it limited my choices

if you DONT go for the 40 or 50, and JUST do the 10 crt,you can have a MUCH lower OOP. I wanted the stuff on clearance anyway, so it was worth the extra OOP ( for me in this case)to just get the total to 50 on both transactions.

That's awesome. I was able to use the head and shoulders bogo today with no problems and still got the $5/40. It's a coupon though.

Also, I got a 3 pack of ivory bar soap for $1.89 and used the $1/1 mq as one of my doubles so it rang up free...yay!

I am pretty sure the BOGO restriction for that 5/40 only applies to the kmart prices, so it is no problem to use the coupon to BOGO, just if the store is offering it as a BOGO sale.

That is great about the bar soap! I didn't even think about soap!

Is the 5/40 a coupon or does it come off at the register??? I'm really trying to get my transactions together...!!

You need the coupon. Not all locations are doing the sale. Check your store to see if they have them at cs.

The store north of my house is not doing the promo so I had to go to the one south of my house to get the 5 off. The coupon has a list of stores that are participating

Helium tank (24.99) free coupon

Total after coupons including the $5 off $40 was 17.50 including tax.

I got back a $5 award card, 10.00CRT, 3000 points fro Zzzquil and here's the surprise I also got a 5000 points (OFFER ID 518) on my next food or drug purchase. So when I get those I buy a cheap item and add the 5000 points. So I had a 5.50MM on the deal. I also read on the laminated papers on the cart that you get 2000 points when you buy 3 items listed below and it included Pantene. I have no idea where the 5000 point thing camefrom but I know it's one where I can buy a sucker and add the points since I've done it before.

I have gotten them at random it seems.

Last time I got the 5000 point for a purchase I bought one item, a watermelon rotf!
I do think it is a random thing.
