| For my DS's pal @ School
My son came home monday from school -- He has a pal who use to come over quite a bit but didnt much over the summer --- My son asked mom you think we could give Robert some food --- I was like hmm why  -- this childs mom has some issues that i am aware of but --- if i were her i wouldnt depend on selling puppies (which she has had none now in 4 months) to feed my kid --- she has made little to no effort to look for work from what i hear  --- regardless of all that -- i told my son you get Robert over here and we will give him some food --- he came by tuesday nightWe ended up giving him about 14 bags of groceries and other assorted items --- i told him never to feel shy about coming by to eat if he needed --- my husband said to him we dont have any money but we sure can feed someone if needed --- he admitted long ago to my son his mom is rarely home even and well i cant see a child going hungry My son walked him out -- Robert told my son I feel like i should be paying ur mom with all she gave me --- I said well that was sweet But --- I dont want a dime --- all i wanna know is that he wont go without --- I will continue to ask him over and let him have at whatever he wants or needs --- It is such a blessing to our family to be able to share to the degree we do now --- My heart feels uplifted and my life rewarded !!!! --- I pray he will continue to remain in our lives as I would help him out for eternity --- he is a sweet boy well behaved (at least while he has been in our home) and well every child deserves ummmm to eat  I praise god for giving me the opportunity to share !!!!!  |

ummm exactly --- so was i --- he stated to my son he had missed being at our house --- he knew that he could go to the food anytime he wanted when he was over --- i am really glad he didnt waste any time coming to get some tho --- i figured maybe his mother would call and thank us but ummmmm she hasnt -- it makes no matter i didnt really do it for her i did it for the child  Quote:

It feels so good to GIVE. I have made some gift baskets as a thank you for some people at my husbands work, and also some to my freinds. But I am also proud to give to my local animal shelter. Also, we are having our annual Boxer Bash and I will be stockpiling for that event. We do baskets for a silent auction and all the $ goes towards our Boxer Rescue....IT FEELS SO NICE TO DONATE!!!!

I am not surprised the mother didn't acknowledge your gift...she is obviously not entirely engaged in the real world if she lets her children go hungry...I mean there are ways to feed your family (get a 2nd job, food stamps, food pantries). Also she could be too ashamed. But God bless you for meeting a need, and you are right, the mother maybe able to do better, go out and earn money, but she hasn't and this child is suffering because of her. You are being the best Christian out there by being an example to him, how to live life with the graciousness to know how to give and show love.

You are an angel...thank you for sharing....and yes I was doing my ugly cry! Stuff like this breaks my heart! I think of all the food I have thrown out over the years...really ugly cry!
