| July Donation Thread
I hope this is the right place to put this. I was inspired by those who shared their donations last month and hope this thread will inspire more to dig into their stockpiles and help others.  |

Here is our donation for this month. Sorry for the stacked photo-- I took it real quick before I started boxing things up.  The left third of the table went to the local animal shelter-- flea collars, canned dog food, cat treats, and (not shown) kitten food, some cans of good smells The middle third went to the local food pantry-- lots of condiments, cakesters and snacks, cereal, mac and cheese, lots of Pace picante, drink mixes, some hba items and some of those Bounty towels and White Cloud tp. Both of these places were so grateful for the donations. This is a rural area and they said their donations are very low compared to years past. The right third is going to a local family-- much of the same things as went to the food pantry, some fun snacks for the kids, and lots of cleaning supplies plus some perishables that aren't shown We made a commitment to the foodbank to donate 50% of the non-perishables that I buy. What a great feeling it is to know that somebody might be able to put a meal on the table tonight because I took just a few extra minutes to get some free or nearly free things at the store. My 6 year old son and I filled the donation box at the boro hall up to the top with donations. I gave bbq sauce, mustard, rice (tons), toothpaste, cleaners and more. I plan on going back again with some more stuff. It was hard carrying all of that heavy stuff. I hope it shows my son some compassion. He was really excited to do it.

So far this month I have given out/donated about 200 flea collars, 356 cans of Purina One dog food, 30 cans of Mighty Dog canned dog food, many Home fragrance things, Schick razors, soap, Bags of Kotex pads, Knox gelatin, McCormick brown gravy, Koolaid, Betty Crocker instant potatoes, and so much more! I go around and give out gift bags to random people- people who work at Wal Mart, JcPenny's, etc. I am trying to change the world "One gift bag at a time". and while I am at it I am giving testimony of God through my giving.

My Bf & I made a trip to the SPCA of Tampa Bay this past Saturday with 18 bags of Pedigree Good Bites. Makes me feel so good knowing those pups will have a treat that brightens their day.

what a great thread...you are all so generous to share...I'm still working on a donation for this month...i've got quite a lot already including fruit snacks and mac and cheese. Hopefully I can get a few more super deals before the end of the month to build up my donation

Wow!!! You guys are awesome!! I loved reading about all of the donations. I've done quite a bit over the past year, but not so much in the last few months. I've been inspired by reading this thread to get some boxes packed up and take them to the local food bank. Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you all for your awesome, beyond generous donations!!!! I love to hear about them. I am still working on my donation piles for the local animal shelter, local church food pantry, and my Iraq boxes.

i did my very first donation today to this place called Catherine's House. It felt great. I wish I would have taken a picture but didn't think about it. I donated a box full of H&B items, and one of those round totes with the rope handles full of food. The ladies was suprised especailly when I told them that most of it was for free and how I did it with coupons! At the beginning of the year I would have never been able to do that! I barely had enough food for us and now I can give to others it felt great. Next time i go back there she wants to give me a tour and I think that would be great. Thanks so much AFC for everything!
