I had a fabulous trip at CVS tonight. Got this weeks deals AND tomorrows! I haven't scrutinized the receipts yet, but it was probably over $75.00 worth of stuff and I paid around $8 and walked out with $11.00 in ECB!!! (And I started off with only $5 ECB.)

ANYWAY...

I noticed that this week CVS brand baby powder and oil is 2/$4. When you buy $15 of CVS brand (I think skincare themed) you get $5 ECB. So buy 8 Baby Powder or Baby Oil at $16. Use 8 $2 off CVS Skin Care (from Beauty Book) -$16 = 0 oop and earn $5 in ECB!!!!

One catch, you have to break this up because the $2 CVS Skin Care coupon says "One per customer," but most of us usually do a couple transactions each trip anyway, so it can be done!

Now I just have to figure out what to do with the stuff...I have 4 kids and have never used either!

I initally found them in the lotion aisle, and it wasn't very well stocked. (Only 3 powders and just 1 oil.) If find the shelf empty there, there is more in the baby aisle across from the diapers.

It's alittle bit harder to google them now, b/c the sites that had them took them down recently, but I suggest googling beauty handbook or CVS beauty coupons, anything to that effect. Good luck

It's against AFC's policy to PM or email links to CVS coupons, keep googling, you can do it!

Has this deal worked for anyone? I was up to $12 (of the $15 to earn $5 ECB) and then the items stopped adding up! Each receipt still said I needed $3 even though I kept buying more baby powder. (The same one I already bought 6 of!) The manager came over and said I wasn't getting the ECB because I didn't actually pay for the product - I used the $2 skin care coupon. But I used that with all the other ones and they showed up on the receipt. I'm confused!

Anyone know what's going on?

Oh, and the manager told me that I shouldn't have used the $2 skincare item on the baby stuff. That is was meant for things like lotions and creams from the skin care aisle. I told her, "But these items were in the skincare aisle, and are for the skin!" She still said it doesn't count. It's not like she took back the ones I used, but said not to do it anymore. Again, I'm confused!

That doesn't make any sense at all! You are buying the product --- it doesn't matter if you have a coupon to use on it!!! Just a case of someone making stuff up as they go along IMO..... I mean, what's the difference between using that and a Revlon CRT or the Excedrin or Maalox CRT's many of us used last week?!? Those ECB's printed!

Maybe were your last purchases very quick one after the other??? If so, maybe the register/account didn't have time to catch up and process the amounts purchased? People often talk about that here.

If that's not the case, I'd call CVS --- if you've purchased $15 worth, you are entitled to the $5 ECB's; maybe there's some other glitch in the deal.

And plenty of people are using the $2 skincare q's on baby stuff --- and much weirder stuff, I might add!!! If it wasn't meant to be used on that particular skincare, I guess it should beep,...... but it doesn't.....

I would use the scanner when you go in next time - if you have one
I am sure it will print out. I looked at my receipt yesterday to ssee my YTD savings and it showed up the same amount. I think the computer may take some time

You know, I've always wondered EXACTLY the same thing! More than once, I've read about people saying that maybe their transactions were too "quick" to generate the correct ECB's, but I've never seen the follow-up result about what did happen the next time they went to the store! I really would like to know how it works out for you!

I do NOT think, however, that it'll think you already got the ECB's -- I think the computer/software/account whatever thingy keeps pretty good track of that --- my guess is that they will print out next time! If not, I would call CS.

The closest I've gotten to that problem is buying two products in two separate transactions quickly one after another --- the first transaction said I bought "ONE" and second transaction said I bought "ONE", even though that was my second one. (It still wasn't time for the ECB's to get generated, because I needed to buy more than two, so I wasn't expecting them yet.) Anyway, the next time I bought something, the total purchase WAS correct on the bottom of my receipt --- the system had caught up and added them together and all was well! i did this deal yesteday. buying 3 a&d ($3/each), powder, lotion, and vapor wash .. all using the skin care, and i got my ecb.

i am sure it's just because you did them back to back, if it doesn't print when you go in next..call CS.
