Sorry, still confused here. Can a battle scarred CVS veteran please explain superstacking to us newbies in very, very simple English? Seems like there may have been some drama here...not looking to stir it up, just don't understand the rule. Thank you.

Not really a veteran, but super stacking basically means using more than one $x.xx off a $xx.xx purchase, these coupons are not as readily available as before. So it would be like having a $50. purchase and trying to use a $10 off $50. coupon and a $5.00 off a $30. coupon and a $2. off a $10. coupon. all in the same transaction.

Okay, I understand that using multiples for the single $50 purchase is not kosher.
However, I have been doing something a bit different. I've been using two of the $5 off $25 on a $50 purchase. Is this wrong? I didn't think it was, since I could just as easily ring up two separate orders.
Let me know. I'm trying to do things right.

That is fine. As long as the total $/$$ is less that the total order you are fine.
Like you bought 55.00 in product, you could use a 2/10, 3/15 and 5/25. However, I suppose it is possible that a manager might say no, but as far as I have seen it is fine and NOT considered stacking.

in order to avoid superstacking, you would just add up the last numbers to get a total dollar amount in purchases...

to use some examples above....


use 2/10, 4/20, 5/25 in one transaction add the 10, the 20, and the 25...you have to spend $55.00

is this correct as far as what CVS corporate says? I am not talking about what stores might let you do...Hopefully this is right and will make it a lot easier for me to figure out how to work with ECB's....

My $3/15 says "cannot be combined with any other cvs coupon" leading me to believe they consider this stacking. However my $4/$20 that came in the snail mail flyer doe not say this. So check your wording on your q's. I would say however that it would just be easier to break up your transactions if you can. hth

Sounds like a lot of people here are having StackAttacks! haha. If I spend 50 and have a 10/50 I will use that one plus ECB's. If I spend 20 I will use a 4/20 plus ECB's. I believe that using one of those types of "rewards" is the intention of the offer. Sorry about the stackattack humor. It was just too good to pass up.

Sorry to see that this needs posting, it is clearly stated on the CVS coupons that only one purchase based coupon is allowed per transaction.

Actually at all the cvs stores I shop at, none of the registers will take more than one purchase-based coupons without beeping, and this could be 3/15, 2/10 cvs brand, or 3/15 neutrogena, 4/20 Skin Effects, 2/10 SoyJoy; as long as it's x off xx of something, the register will only take one. This is in CA, and it's been like this for a long while now. I remember in the beginning I was trying to use both a 3/15 and a 2/10 cvs in the same transaction, and I made sure I bought over $10 of cvs brand and my total was over $25, but the register beeped on the second coupon. The supervisor was nice to manually override it, but it's really YMMV. So now I learned not to combine purchases, rather, use the coupons in separate transactions, and it's been fine, beeping-wise.
