CVS Deals Ahoy! My love for this store grows and grows...
My first trip was a great success! Not only did I get a great deal, but a surprise Reward Buck as well! CVS just released another $5 off $25 coupon on its website so I decided to use this great coupon as much as I could to save even more money. The goal was to get my total as close to $25 as I could without going over as many times as I could. Coupon tip: These dollar amount off coupons are a great time to use your free or buy one get one free coupons. The item amount applies to the total making it higher and is then free of charge to you, minus the taxes of course. I had a few free coupons in my arsenal and decided to use those to make my total that much closer to $25.
First I grabbed the Vasline Sheer Infusion body lotion on sale for $7.99 with a Reward Buck of $7. I printed a $1.50/1 Vaseline Sheer Infusion coupon off the website and turned this great deal into a money maker! I grabbed my FREE Glade soy candle coupon which added $3.29 to my total, my FREE Powerade coupon which added $1.33 to my total, and finally my buy 2 get 1 FREE starbucks drinks coupon adding a whopping $8.37 to my total. The Arm & Hammer toothpaste was buy one get one free at $5.49 each which I coupled with my $3 off 2 Arm & Hammer toothpastes coupon. My total was $26.47 before taxes. I topped my order off with the $5 off $25 mentioned earlier and brought my total down to $9.56 before taxes. I had a $6 Reward Buck from a previous trip which I also threw on to sweeten the deal and walked with everything pictured for $3.56 out of pocket before taxes. I also earned $8 in Reward Bucks, $7 from the lotion and $1 (the unexpected bonus) for purchasing Starbucks.
My second trip also went swimmingly, well after one minor setback. I was unaware you can only use one $5 off $25 coupon with the same barcode (i.e. printed from the same computer, unless it has a different barcode which you can get with different IP addresses to the same site.) An easy way around the problem is to print these coupons from different computers. CVS had a great deal on P&G products where you purchase $25 worth of participating products and you receive $10 back in Reward Bucks. I grabbed five Tide Stain Release capsules and one Tide Stain Release liquid for $4 each. I coupled these with the $1/1 Tide Stain Release product I found in store on my first trip. I also grabbed a $1 Dawn dish liquid to round my total up to $25 and coupled that with the $0.25 off Dawn coupon from the P&G coupon insert in Sunday's paper. I topped it all off with my differently coded $5 off $25 coupon from the CVS website and came to a total of $13.75 before taxes. I also threw on the $8 in Reward Bucks I earned from my first visit on this awesome sale finding adventure and my total out of pocket cost came to $5.75 before taxes. I then left the store with another $10 in Reward Bucks.
In summation...everything pictured below cost me $9.31 out of pocket and I still have $10 in Reward Bucks for my next purchase at CVS...not too shabby!
