I did the Covergirl deal. I bought a foundation (6.19) and one of the Simply Ageless blushes ($10). I tried to use the free face item coupon on the blush, and a $1 coupon on the foundation.

At first the cashier said I couldnt have both coupons (even though its two items). I decided not to argue over $1 and asked her to give me that one back & just do the free face item. Then she scanned that & only took off $6.19. I tried to point out that the coupon was for the free face item, not the foundation & should have been entered for $10. She said she could not give me the more expensive item for free & refused to change it!

I was mad, but didnt want to fight with her or hold up the long line any more, so I just paid & left. But now I really just want to return the foundation that I didnt even want in the first place - I just wanted to get the blush. And, since she keyed in the coupon for the foundation, I actually paid the full $10 for the dang blush. UGHGHGHGH.

that is how all of those coupons have been working, atleast in my store, if she had put it in for the $10 it would have beeped and she would not have been able to do it. It was a very bad wording on the coupon.

almost had that problem at mine but they can key in in all they have to do is hit mq key then key in price and then hit taxable usually with a coupon that is b1g1 it is for the lower price item but this coupon doesn't state that it clearly states buy foundation get face product free if you just explain to them nicely they may do it if not ask for a manager and explain the coupon to theem can't hurt to try

I almost had that problem at my CVS but the manager read the coupon and sait it was for the face item to be free so that is what they did! If you read the coupon it clearly says buy a foundation and get any face item for free. I would go back to the store and see what they can do for you.

This coupon has been a complete hot mess!! I actually bought lipstick with mine (lips are on your face, right?) and made sure it was less than the foundation. The cashier didn't want to take either q but finally pushed the free one through!

i got 2 foundations the cashier tried to tell me that I couldn;t use both coupons, but I asked her to try it and see...it went through no problem

I would take it back. It was clearly entered wrong and you were overcharged. I was going try that deal but i couldn't find anything for $9 which would make all the covergirl free after ECBs. I found something that was $8.49(blush) + 6.19 foundation=14.68 but i didn't think that was close enough to the $15 for the ECB to print.

The exact same thing happened to me. It was even my favorite cashier that checked me out. I didn't want to argue with him so I just paid and left. If I return the item now what happens since I was given an ECB?
