I was in 2 of my local CVSs tonight to get a jump on some Finish/Electrasol tabs and picked up a few more odds and ends, one being VITAMIN WATER. Its in the August Clip-free coupon booklet as 4/$5 with card, $1 ECB WYB4. I had several of the $0.50/1 CVS coupons from the summer coupon booklet found in the cosmetics area, so i figured:

4/$5 - (4 x $0.50/1 CVS Qs) = 4/$3 OOP, and get $1 ECB back (final cost: 4/$2)

BUT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED! (YMMV):

4/$5 - (4 x $0.50/1 CVS Qs) = 4/$3 OOP, and i got back $3 ECB! AND it said i was 1 more away from getting the reward again ?? ODD! ...

this is seriously weird.. the ECB thanks me for buying a 12 pack. (they were singles) Needless to say, i got 2 more and got a second reward ... too bad i gave away a ton of my Vitamin Water Qs not thinking i would use them all :P

Final scenario:
6 x 1.25 ea (4/$5) = 7.50
-6 x $0.50/1 CVS Qs = brings it down to 4.50/6
had 2x $3 ECB slips issued making it a $1.50 MM!

EVEN WITHOUT THE CVS Qs, it would be $1.50 for 6 bottles! Run out to CVS and stock up

no, it didnt say anything about a limit being reached... I am going to go back and get some on my other card (even without the coupons, its a good deal, IMO) and will try again on the first card to see what happens... will post back when i find out

apparently so! And like i said, YMMV because i am sure this is a quirk in the system. But it seems to be system-wide, because i did the first deal at one cvs, then did the second at another (when i was out in my van reviewing my CRTs and i noticed it... went right in and got the 2 more for the next $3 ECB Anyhoooo, it was in place at both stores. I hope they don't find the glitch for a while hehe ... gotta fill the basement with Vitamin Water JK!

not sue it this is the same...I noticed this for the pepsi. I added a single bottle to my order and it said that I needed to buy 1 more to get 1 ecb.

i bought one of the orange(i believe the essential) and received the $3 ecb and then bought 1 pink one on another card and did not receive the ecb. then my boyfriend bought 4 of the orange ones and only received on $3 ecb so i do not understand which ones are working and how much you would get back

I bought 2 kiwi-strawberry (focus), 2 acai-blueberry (xxx), 1 berry-cherry (sync), and 1 dragonfruit (power-c). My receipt says

'Vitamin Water, Buy 1 Get 3 EB
Quantitity Toward this Reward 1
Quantity Needed to Earn Reward 1' and

'Vitamin Water Buy 4 Get 1 EB
Quantity Toward this Reward 2
Quantity Needed to Earn Reward 2'
so add me to the list of being confused as to what Vwater is doing what.
I'm thinking I'll buy another focus and another dragonfruit. If the focus doesn't add to the Buy 4, then I'll know it was the xxx and if the dragonfruit doesn't get 3ECB on its own, then it had to be the sync. I think that would work anyway?

dont know if it helps but the varieties i bought are:

xxx (acai-blueberry-pomegranate)
sync (berry-cherry)
energy (tropical citrus)
essential (orange-orange)

i have one more in the van but can't remember which variety... None are Vitamin Water 10s... all the regular stuff

Ack, well that throws my figures all off too. I went to another CVS and bought 1 Sync and 1 xxx and got another $3 ecb and my receipt now says that I got 2 of the buy1get3ecbs vitamin waters and that I now have 3 toward the buy4get1ecb vitamin waters. I figured that meant that it was the Sync producing the $3 and the xxx's going towards the 4, but now I'm really really confused!! I also haven't gotten any 10's, mine have all been regular ones, in case that helps anyone at all. So weird!!

I did this today and it worked. Bought 6 vita waters in two transacations and got tow $3 ecbs.

Ran home and called my MIL who can only drink bottled water because of cancer treatment and she loves the vita water. Told her to go to CVS and do the deal. She seemed confused but hopefully she does it.

I heard you will only get $3 EB no matter how many you buy per trans, so its best to buy them singly. This would be a great way to roll around those $.99 EBs from the school supplies! I cant wait until I can go try this tomorrow after work.

I was so thirsty I had to buy a drink, and I chose the pink regular one, and it counted towards the Buy 4 get $1 ECB, not the $3 ECB deal.

It worked for me at one CVS four times. I started buying 3, then went to buing 1 twice and it worked. I went to another CVS and got the same flavored one and it did not work. Not sure if I used up the ECB limit because it was confusing. I may try again today at CVS it worked at with moms card.

Has anyone done this more than 4 times? not sure if its the CVS or the number of times.

I spent about 3 dollars and got back 9 ECB after all said and done. I could have done better, but since the deal was fuzzy, its the best I could do.

Did you get a cold one from the cooler or one on the shelf? Maybe that has something to do with it!

I tried buying one today with a brand new card. I got no ECB, bought same flavor as yesterday. I think they fixed the glitch. I did go to a different CVS than yesterday.

Drats, I was hoping this deal would hold out longer.

Bought 4 of the orange 10 calorie waters this morning, all separate transactions and it worked like a charm. I paid $0.77 each time ($1.25- 0.50q) and got $3.00 ECB with each one. The offer limit is still not reached, does anyone know what the limit is?

weird how it worked for you and not me. I am so confused by this. I may give it one last try tomorrow but somehow doubt it will work for me.
