| $1.99 OOP for $46 worth of stuff *EDIT* So when I went back and added everything, it added up to $37.34, but when I look at my receipt, it says "today you saved: xx.xx" I added that up, and that's how I got to my savings of $44.67. So what did I really save? I'm confused. Can someone answer what my true savings are I can post my receipt if someone needs me to.*end of edit*Here's my first started post here at AFC...so I hope I did this right: Here was today's trip (sorry for the blurry camera phone pic)...all for the grand total of $1.99 cash. I had to quickly change my plan when I found out they didn't carry the binders at my local store. If I were to purchase everything without coupons or extra care bucks, I would have paid, $46.66. Since I paid just $1.99, I saved a whopping $44.67!!! ![]() Here's what I did. I had to split this into three transactions to take advantage of my ECBs Transation #1: ![]() (2) CVS filler paper $2.00 each Chips Ahoy cookies $2.00 Total of $6.00 and used a $5.98 ECB I previously had, and paid just two cents! Got back $4.00 ECB for the filler paper. Transaction #2: ![]() I had a raincheck for the febreze deal a few weeks ago and they finally put out their stock of the noticeables...So here's how this deal worked out.... $2.99 for the batteries (I had a .75 manf coupon, and this produced a $1 ECB) $.89 for the CVS pantyliners, get $.89 ECB $6.50 for the noticeables (I had a $4.00 manf coupon, and this produced a $5 ECB) (2) gold emblem nuts, priced at $.99 each (I had a $2.00 CVS coupon that I printed at a scanner located inside CVS) After all the coupons, I "paid" with the $4.00 ECB from the previous transaction, and a $5.00 ECB I had. Total I had to pay was $1.00 even. I got back $5.00 ecb, $.89 ecb, and a $1.00 ECB. Transaction #3: ![]() This was on sale this week, buy 1, get 1 free. This was priced at $9.49. I had two $1.00 coupons. I paid with my ECBs from the previous transaction and paid $.99 cash. Unfortunately no ECBs for this. However, I am still left with $4.00 of ECBs, yay! I think I'm getting better at this. As long as my two kiddos don't come along and add extra candy or little objects in the cart - I do fairly well. Last edited by pailoflove; 07-20-2009 at 08:55 PM. Wow! I am also new to AFC and made a trip to CVS. I made 2 transactions when I was there. #1: 1 cvs pantyliner, 1 colgate, 2 papermate pens = $5.78 Earned $3.93 in ECB #2: XTRA laundry detergent (3) @$1.99 each= $6.50 w/tax I paid $2.57. Should have paid $12.28 for both transactions total, but paid OOP, $8.35 I saved $3.93. You definately got a better deal. I've got to do better! The only ECB I can use for next time are for CVS brand items??? Thanks for sharing your info. Good job! |
