I just recently found out (by calling) that none of the K-Marts in Springfield double coupons. I was so dissapointed. I had been on the K-Mart forum and was getting excited about doubles. Arrrggghhh!!!! Anyway, I am needing some information. Currently I have a store that will double up to 50 cents and another that will double up to 49 cents (good grief) Are there any stores in Springfield that double coupons over 50 cents? Can you give me info on the stores and the amount of doubles? I am hoping that it would be worth a shopping trip to Springfield. Thanks in advance everyone. |

I know Dillons doubles up to 50 cents and then anything over that they match to equal $1.00 (Example: .65 cent coupon + .35 cents(Dillon's match up)= $1.00)HOpe that makes sense |

Dillons is the only place locally that "doubles" over .50. Yeah, we live in the land of "let's just double to .50, if we even double at all". I remember 12-15 years ago, periodically there would be triples at Albertsons. Well, we don't have Albertson's any more. More recently, Harter house had triples up to .35 for 1 month, to celebrate their anniversary. But their prices were so high, it didn't make a difference to me. Best thing u can do around here is combine your coupons w/ the hot sales. If we had more grocery chains to choose from, the competition might instill some better doubles. |

awww...I was excited when I saw this post...darn it! I too was wondering about trying to shop in Springfield. The only grocery store I go too (besides WM) is in Branson West and they do the "double" up to 50 cent thing...not great. I was hoping there was something good in Springfield to make a trip worthwhile. I do shop in Springfield at Aldi and Food 4 Less about once a month. How is Target and Kmart? Yous guys ever try them? I haven't done that yet but did make ONE stop into CVS....long story but I don't know if I will ever go back. *sigh* we need some good doublers and triplers!

I loathe KMart. Prices are too high, selection stinks, just a "cheap-o" store, IMO. |

thanks for the heads up. I don't live in Branson West...actually in Ponce De Leon...which you may have no idea where that is so let's say just south of Highlandville ![]() I never thought about the Branson Target! I try my best to never visit Branson ( )but for deals I can make an exception. I agree on Kmart. I have never liked that store very much. I have been in the one on Campbell a few times but never really found much although they had some nice clearance on toys when I was in there. Isn't there a Big K or some such over by Battlefield? I have never shopped Target but sounds like I need to make a trip!

Thank you all for the responses. I love living in southern Missouri except when it comes for missing the great shopping deals. I have recently started shopping at Walgreens in West Plains (it's a 60 mile trip). I have to be there twice a month for other things so I combine the trip. Walgreens sure takes some education but there are great deals to be found there. I am loving the RR's. |

jeanette, visit AFC's target forum, and start saving! Their clearance surpasses WM by a mile, and like I said, they have their own store coupons, which can be printed from the AFC target generator, and some great deals can be had. Keep in mind, some weeks/months are better than others. Couponclipr: Wags was so much better when they had the easy saver booklet. I'm in there much less often now. Only go about once a week to check the clearance. I'm loving being able to "talk" to some locals! |

Harter House still doubles to 50 cents but usually only a good deal if something is on sale. Target make sure you are shopping the endcaps for the red clearance stickers and also looking thru the freezer for red stickers. Free mayo right now and ziplock maybe a good deal with the target and generator Q's. Aldi's is great. CVS hasn't been to great lately. Wags just sales and a few odd clearance items. Right now strawberries are 88 cents and wonderful at aldis and mushrooms were also 88 cents this weekend |

All of the major grocers in Springfield double up to .50, excluding the Dillons matching that was explained in an earlier post. Every February, Harter House triples up to $.35 for 2 days. You've also got a Town & Country and a Price Cutter in Mansfield and Seymour, respectively. Rogersville still has an Apple Market. I'm not every sure what Mountain Grove and Cabool have. There are a lot of options around here- you've just got to look for them! |

I was going to mention with Dillon's there is also the coupons you can add to your Dillon's card. There are 3 different sets you can add. Shortcuts.com, Cellfire, and P&G.If you catch the sales and have your own man. couopns you can get some good deals. Haven't really gotten any lately but have in the past. It is nice to chat with other locals. I too like the Branson Target better. Go there every once in awhile. |

I don't find much at Kmart except they have in the past had some great deals on end of season clearance on children's clothing. I got my 2 yr old stuff for this summer last year. I got shorts and shirts for under a $1 each and outfits for a couple bucks. This past winter the sales were not as good though. Hopefully it will be better this summer!!

Price Cutter doubles up to and including .50. Food 4 Less--I'm not 100% sure, but I think they do face value only.

Looks like this thread is getting so much more active. If any of you want to do a coupon swap let me know and I would love to get together In Springfield some evevning or Sunday afternoon and trade and meet people in person. I would be willing to help organize it. I'm an assistant manager and train for 4 McDonald's and I'm sure we could meet there or maybe at a library. I do love coupons. |

I'd love the social aspect of a meetup==but I'll be honest: I do a coupon train, trade on AFC and also buy from ebay, and the coupons that come in our local paper are so crappy, I don't know if a swap would benefit me. However, I'd be willing to go just to see what it's like. More importantly, I'd LOVE to meet some local couponers who are as crazy as I am about saving money!!!! Hey, I know--ya'll can come to my Splenda Houseparty--it's on July 17 at 7pm. Last edited by brownie16; 06-29-2009 at 12:04 PM. |
