| Seasonal Produce Chart - what to buy, when...
Not sure if anyone else watches the prices on seasonal produce but I found this chart and figured it would help me when deciding what fruits/veggies to serve throughout the year. The chart lists the seasons and the fruits/veggies that are usually cheapest during that season. I can't remember where I got the chart but the author suggests using Farmer's Markets rather than grocery stores also. I apologize if something similar is listed on here elsewhere, I couldn't find it. But, I hope the list helps someone else too! Seasonal Produce Chart Summer Grapes Lettuce Tomatoes Plums Avocado Zucchini Peaches Fall Apples Winter squash Oranges Pumpkins Broccoli Winter Broccoli Acorn squash Oranges Spring Berries Bananas Asparagus Plums All Year Potatoes Celery Carrots Stock up on fresh or frozen veggies on sale if you can’t get to a farmer’s market.
