Ooh, I'm going to check that out. Great to keep for the Christmas closet. I was able to print 2 on each computer because it limits not based on your FB profile but on the computer's IPaddress. Thanks for the heads up!

If those were the 2 packs then don't forget to submit for your $.50 ibotta rebate! They also added ragu rebate and oreos(original or double stuft) for $.50 each. The Ragu has been $1.25 the past couple times I went and there are $.50 off two coupons I think in the commissary connection. The oreos have been $2.50 so if anyone knows of an oreos coupon let me know.

Good run! I also bought Pop Tarts and the cheese($2/lb is an amazing deal). Wish I had seen the kraft as that would be great to donate for the holiday food drives. My store also started carrying the Smuckers Naturals finally. I was so excited I loaded up my cart before I realized I had only printed two coupons, ! They also have Lindt bars(3.5 oz) for $1.99 and the small bags are $2.85. You can get the coupon on facebook and just like all coupons it is limited to two per computer not account. My commissary has the bars in dark chocolate sea salt and dark chocolate. I'm going to get a bunch of them to give away in baskets for Christmas.

Commissary told me no more overages allowed

At the Lejeune Commissary I was told yesterday that overages are no longer allowed. If I have a coupon that is a money maker it has to be adjusted down to the price of the item. She told me this is for all coupons. She made me really mad telling me that "coupons are being abused my people with overages". I was furious that she was trying to tell me I am doing something wrong by couponning! The New River Commissary allowed me overages no problem. Was the Lejeune cashier out of her mind or are overages no longer allowed? Thanks

I haven't heard that they are getting rid of overages and as of right now they haven't updated their coupon policy to reflect that, so I would carry a copy with you and if you get a problem with it, ask her to show you an updated policy where it says that. You can find the current commissary coupon policy at commissaries. com

How is someone “abusing” the overages?

I feel for you. Gosh, I hate it when some cashiers just make up some coupon rules on the fly. I personally think it is bitterness toward customers who are saving money. They do not understand that some couponers are very updated and knowledgeable about the coupon policy and I think they should be as knowledgeable and should keep up. You can grab a coupon policy pamphlet at the customer service or print one and take it with you. I apply my overages to the whole basket purchase.

commissaries.com/documents/contact_deca/documents/quick_coupon_info.pdf
“Valid coupons will be entered at the value stated on the coupon. If the value of the coupon exceeds the cost of the product, the customer will be given the full value of the coupon unless prohibited by the manufacturer’s terms and conditions printed on the coupon, e.g, “No cash back if coupon value exceeds retail price.” Customers will receive any “overage” in the form of commissary gift cards until the remaining balance due is $24.99 or less. “

Bring a copy of the DeCa Customer Bill of Rights too. commissaries.com/shopping/bill_of_rights.cfm]Commissaries.com - Bill of Rights

This kind of thing has happened to me before. I had one cashier ask me why one of my coupons was black and white and the other colored like it was wrong. I told her that it was because I have to select bw instead of color and sometimes I forgot. She tried to tell me it wasn't allowed. then she asked me why they had the same barcode on the bottom(the scannable one). I said they all do, but that there is a second barcode in the top right that has the unique numbers and tried to show it to her. she yelled at me that she knows how to read a coupon. so why didn't she and instead interrogate me? Then she tried to hand me the policy pamphlet like it backed everything she said up. I told her no thank you, I know what the policy says and pulled out my own copy. Then I told her that I wanted to speak to the manager. He came over, took a look at the coupons and said no problem and finished ringing me up.

Sometimes the cashiers are just jerks. I don't know why, but they are and they frequently don't know the policy. If you know it and have a copy then you are in your best position to get what you want. Always take it up the chain of command though. If the cashier says something that isn't right, talk to the manager. If they don't fix it then talk to the director and on up. If you don't put a stop to their incorrect assumptions then they will just go on doing that to other people.

by the way guys, I had to step down due to issues with my school schedule and my local stores... but I had to answer this cashier making up her own policy post... this has been happening quite frequently at commissaries where cashiers as well as management are making up their own rules regarding deca policy and how coupons will be accepted. All I can recommend is to complain, complain, complain until someone is held responsible. Lately I've been barred from entering the commissaries by the ID card checker because my national guard id is supposedly 'not valid' and have even gotten to the check out and been refused to allow to check out because my id card is pink and not brown. I don't know what else to do folks but call DECA and log your complaint. Hang in there and keep couponing!

Are you reserve (pink ID)? National Guard is a part of the military forces, so that is strange you are barred from the commissary because last I checked, you should be a part of the right to have commissary privileges. Strange situation. Hope that you can get it resolved soon. Keep us posted on your status. We learn from your experiences and how to deal with them.
Good Luck!

Thank you for your hard work. Sorry to hear about your commissary being that way. It is very sad. Good luck with school.

Thank you for all your help I haven't been on this forum long but I will miss your input. I have saved a lot or gotten things for just surcharge with your input. Hopefully everything will settle down and get better soon. (Oh yes and I have had some MM along the way too.)
