I visited Ft McPherson today to purchase my remaining 20 ky with the $3 coupon. A few weeks ago it was limit 4 per transaction/person, however today it was limit 1 per transaction/person. I have no problem with this, I said that I would leave the store & go out to my vehicle after each transaction. This is where the fun begins, I was quickly informed by the lead/head cashier that I WILL NOT be allowed to do such a thing. She claims she got a email from DECA that you are only allowed to purchase one of the KY product per day/with coupon. At this point I was speechless. She gives me the name & number of said lady who sent the email and I've been trying to make contact all day............just found out the lady at DECA is on vacation for the rest of the week, and store manager at Ft Mac is also on vacation.

Any suggestions/comments are welcomed.

****UPDATE~ just got a call from DECA and it is now the policy that you can only use one KY per day *****

I'm sorry that you are having a hard time. One of the great things about the military is that all policies are in writing! Your commissary is going against policy. Print a copy of the policy and bring it in.

I completely agree. They are not allowed to make store specific rules. I would return with the printed deca policy in hand.

Matter of fact I just purchased 20 today (4per transaction) and have never been asked to leave and come back. If I was asked that ten d self check it all.

well you are lucky bc ever since that coupon first came out months ago, my commy has just downright not stocked the ky that is under $3. ridiculous! and same for the reach floss, not ever stocked

My special order of 100 boxes finally came in (donating to animal shelter) was able to do 25 transactions and got tons of free groceries! It was a lot of fun, I think we have enough food for at least 3 weeks!

Actually the coupon does states 1 per person, but also states no more than 4 per transaction. The wording is crazy!

The wording on those is the most confusing I have ever seen. Ft. Mac is also one of the worst commissaries for coupons and special orders ugh, you have my sympathy. I thought it was closed and this post threw me into a time warp When we left last August when post closed I didn't hear they extended it to stay open until Dobbins is completed.

It means no more than 4 total ky coupons in one transaction or so ky told DECA.. Which sucks bc it was good overage..

Anybody know how Ft Knox is for special orders? I have never done it and was just wondering. I have had ky coupons expire multiple times because there is obviously no limit at my commy.

After placing your SO, I would follow up with a call to make sure the order was actually placed. However, this can be frustrating because it is sometime impossible to get someone on the phone, so if you live close you may just want to stop by (we are an hour away). There have been a number of times when I call and they have no record of my order. Also, since the SOs are kept in an area of access, I have had orders that have come in for me but then are taken by others. Overall, though I usually am able to get what I have ordered. HTH

(2) Buying excessive quantities of an individual item. Quantities could be considered excessive when a customer special orders and/or purchases more than three (3) cases or 36 units of an individual item.

(3) Excessive number of large orders/transactions on a frequent basis. This would include frequent orders/transactions of an individual item which give the appearance of an attempt to stay below the threshold identified in paragraph 3-5a(2) above.

(4) Buying excessive quantities of an individual item with coupons that exceed the value of the product.

(5) Making numerous purchases in a single day;

(6) Persistent efforts to exceed sales restriction limits; and

There was clarification from KY regarding these q's. The wording was confusing and forgive me I can't remember where I read it but the intention was:

1 q per person and no more than 4 different types of q's for the same product.
So you can only use 1-$3 and 3 other q's like a $2/1, $1/1 and say $.50/1.

The intention was to stop the over buying because it is being used on the $1.92 KY that made such a large overage.

I think if they realy only want you to use one coupon they should just leave it at one coupon per person done. I am starting to feel like I need to be a lawyer to read some of the stuff they put on coupons these days .

Last time I did a special order at Knox, it wasn't that great. I ordered 3 cases of knorr homestyle stock. They said they'd call when it came in, but it was on back order so might be a while. I waited and waited but they never called.

I went in one random day about 2 weeks later and asked about it at the window. They said they didn't have any record of my order and none came in any way. They asked if I wanted to put in another, but my coupons were expiring in 3 days so I said no.

Walked over to the shelf and there were three cases (not even opened for display!) sitting there. They had to be mine. I took them. All.

I have a good relationship with the office at Knox but sometimes they can be a little hit or miss.
