Gulf Coast residents - a Great Hurricane Prep Deal

Thank you - mommy0128. This is great addition to any hurricane preperation package. Might want to consider stocking up on a few packages. Keep in mind, these things will last a long, long time, if well kept. Just remember - IMHO - to use/replace them every 3-5 years.

Living in the Florida Panhandle, and, having - been there, done that, and getting tired of having done it 7 times in the last 10 years - with outages of 7-10 days. I am well stocked with paper plates, plastic ware, and plastic water bottles - 2 weeks worth. These would make a great - 'Free' addition to your preperations.

When DH was in Basic Training ('04), I occupied my time by volunteering with the Red Cross and spent several weeks in the FL panhandle... then went over to the East Coast. I was there mostly for disaster relief from Ivan and Jeane. Then we got stationed in LA for a few years and had to go through Rita there... I am now very happy to be in the DFW area - not completely safe, but WAY farther from the Gulf!

Thanks for the heads up, we go through these like water so I know I won't be keeping them for more than a couple months. We are in cali. so no hurricanes here, yet... but I do like to keep some in case of any other emergency.
Thanks again
