| Commissary allows overage in policy I wasn't sure if you all were aware of this, but the commissary's official policy allows for overage (where is says "valid coupons will be entered at price stated on coupon")- meaning, for example, if you were to buy KY jelly for $1.84 (commissary's reg price) and use the $3/1 coupons that's been in the inserts lately, you would make $1.16 per tube minus the surcharge - thought you all might like to know. A couple of other deals like that are the Monistat cool wipes (2.93 w/ a $4/1 q from 1/6 insert) and Excedrin trial sizes (cpn states any size $2/1) If you get a lot of these it can really cut down on your bill for other stuff. My understanding is that it's because the commissary isn't supposed to make a profit. Thanks!
Edit: just read another post referring to overage and wanted to comment that technically they should actually give you cash back if your purchase is negative - I wouldn't push it this far, but technically, that's what the policy says. |
