I asked because I knew it had been awhile. And the store manager told me mine will be May1,2 & 3. You can call your local one and they will tell you. Sometimes it's on the website~ deca

Can you use coupons for the case lot sale? Just curious.

jcoy . . . 'Case Lot Sales' are usually special-event sales by specific mfg's for specific items. They typically include 1 or more in-store coupons to offset the cost of buying that item 'by-the-case', as opposed to buying the individual item. I usually get something like a $1-off coupon if I buy a case of something, then the case is scanned as 12 individual items - and then the coupon is applied. Yes, the final price works out to be what they said it would be. No, you can Not 'stack' coupons in a military commissary. DeCA rules prohibit that.

IMHO - If you have individual coupons for that item - check the food aisle where that item usually is. Quite often you can find a shelf item at the same sale price, per item, as that offered by the 'Case Lot Sale' case price w/ the 'case' coupon. Then you can apply your individual coupon, if you don't want to buy a case.

CAVEAT . . . Check the 'expiration' date on the case. It you can't use those items by then - Don't Buy a case. The expiration date is usualy stamped on the side of the case - in bold, stenciled lettering, that says 'EXP' and the date.
If the date is close, and the price is really, really Great, do what I do - If you can afford it. Buy the case, keep what you know you will use, and donate some to your local food bank.
YEA! .. YEA! .. YEA!, y'all, I know this tehnically violates the rules of food purchases at a military commissary. Well, that's just who I am and what I do. I do not advocate anyone do anything. What I do , I do. But, I guess I live on the edge (as I'm beginning to think some of you already know ).

I have used coupons before at the case lot sale However, if they are individual things. For example say they have better crocker cookie mixes on sale and sold individually you can use a manufacters coupon.

FYI....For those in the Northern Virginia /D.C. area, Ft. Belvoir commissary is having their caselot sale May 23-24th.

Question... in past years I have been able to find the product/price list on the commissaries.com website.

This year I can't find the list. Is it posted anywhere?

It is a 90 minute drive to my nearest one, so I don't want to make the drive unless there is enough there to make it worth the while (Especially since I will have a six week old baby in tow).

I haven't seen it anywhere either posted.

Wondering if it's worth going and what they had.
