My name is April. I am the wife of an active duty army soldier. We are stationed in San Antonio. My husband works at BAMC. I have a 21 month old daugher. I am also kinda new to this whole couponing thing and pretty addicted.

Hi! We are stationed on a national guard base, but full active air force. (Confused yet? I am... hehe...) The closest commissary is Wright-Pat. I have been there once a LOOOONG time ago. Our base does case sales every now and again though and I am curious about those. There's one coming up in Oct. Nice to meet ya all! ![]()

Hi! I'm Katie. Wife to a Navy Corpsman stationed at NNMC. We live 15 miles from the base that we're stationed at, and it doesn't even have a commissary! The closest one is Walter Reed, about 20+ miles away. I've only ventured out there once to get some of the deals that you ladies from AFC posted.

Tell your DH thank you for what he does, it is every bit as important (though rarely as recognized or appreciated) as all the other jobs in the services! |

Me!!! My name is Corin, wife to James who is active duty AF. Currently we're stationed at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA (I know, it's an Army base - they have all branches here for school) where dh teaches communications for the AF. I get about half of my groceries from our base comm, but I never buy meat except for chicken. I've seen too many slightly opened packages of steak and hamburger for my liking so I stay away. The cashiers at my comm. always crack up when they see my big purple coupon binder in the cart. One lady knows me by name now and will always ask me how much I'm saving. She'll even come over to where I'm checking out if I'm not in her line to see my receipt.

I shop at Buckley. DH was Navy Reserves but was mobilized overseas as an IA with the Army. We have an almost 6 year old and 1 year old twins so it is hard for me to get to the commissary. I try to make it there about once every 4-6 weeks and then I stock up.

Hi. I'm Tanya at Camp Pendleton. How do I find out what all the abreviations are? on the new match ups thing at the top of the page, it tells you information about the coupon and gives a bar code, but am I right in thinking that we can't use that... we'd actually need the coupon? How do you find out about these tear pads? what if they're all gone once I get there? Can you respond just to me? I need some one on one training. I know I've seen links or threads or whatever at some point or another, but I don't know how to find them again. ie... I'm going to have to find this thread again in order to read your response, right? aye ve... the forums feel a bit overwhelming and a little time consuming and I spend so much of my time chasing my toddler around! How much time do other people usually spend doing this stuff in a week? do you have to download a million "coupon printing" programs.? Help... I have so many questions!!!

The first and easiest thing to do is to get a paper on Sunday that will have all the coupon inserts in it. Then, you can match up the coupons with the deals posted. The tearpads are not a guaranteed find in any store, just something to keep an eye out for. ![]() Check out this link to see what all the abbreviations are for: http://www.afullcup.com/forums/view.php?pg=acronyms I found it helpful to print out the list so I had it on hand to refer to when I started. ![]() In addition to that, check out these two for further info on AFC and couponing: http://www.afullcup.com/forums/afc-101/ http://www.afullcup.com/forums/couponing-101/ to AFC!

OK, so this is my first time adding my two cents worth. My husband is a reserve chaplain with the Air Force. Prior to this he served 8 years active duty Marine Corps, so I got hooked on the commissary when we were first married (Camp Pendelton). He now pastors a church in DC and we frequent the Ft Meyer commissary, but prefer the Ft. Belvoir one. For some reason the Ft Meyer one never has the Maxi Saver coupons...what's up with that? We have two boys and I am learning to be a stay at home mom after working as a critical care nurse for many years. I absolutely love couponing and have been doing it for years. Glad to have found you all!
