I live in the suburbs of Chicago. NO ONE doubles in this major metropolitan area!

Do the best you can, watch for the rock bottom prices and use your coupons then. Write the store corp headquarters and request double coupons!

I have written the Corp office and thought that might help. They have not responed to my e-mail. But as I use my coupons I think "oh how much would I had saved if they only doubled"!!

I don't get doubles around here. I do get a lot of B1G1 free sales, so I look for lots of 1/1 or 75/1, and I'm allowed to use a coupon on each item - the "buy" and the "free." Recently, my grocery store had Bush's Grilling Beans B1G1 free @ $1.67. So every 2 cans was $1.67, and I got $2.00 off. 12 cans of baked beans for free plus overage!

None of my stores double either. I carry my coupon book with me anytime I go to the store and watch for sales. When I see a good sale, and have a good coupon..I stock up. It's really starting to pay off. My last grocery bill was $79.?? and I bought a big can of Similac for $24.??. That's my major bill for the next 2 weeks. I'll by milk on Monday, but that's about it till next payday. I used to spend about $290-$310 every 2 weeks. With WAGS, CVS, and stocking up on grocery sales w/coupons I've knocked it way down. My best advice is keep your coupons organized, so you have them when you need them, and keep your eyes peeled for sales. HTH. ![]()

Do you not have a homeland or williams? Homeland will double up to $1.00 (but only 1 of each coupon which I HATE!) and williams will frequently double up to $.50.

We don't have any one that doubles here either.. well piggly wiggly will double up to 40 cents.. at least they use to but they are so high it usually doesn't matter. I have to agree with old tin girl though! I have only been doing CVS for about 3 weeks and I can already really see a difference in my bill.. My supply is really growing quickly... things I used to buy every week aren't on the list anymore!!! ![]()

No, I do not have a homeland or a CVS. The nearest store that doubles up to 5o cents is 45 minutes away. With gas prices that would defeat the purpose. So I will take each of your advices and try to save the best that I can. Thank you for all your help and have a Blessed Day!!! ![]() ![]()

We haven't had a store that doubled coupons in probably 15 years in Orlando. And the store that did double was twice as expensive as the other stores.

I help my niece out working deals in her area since I'm able to look up her ads online. She doesn't have any stores that double, either. What I've noticed, is there are many weeks where she's getting better deals than I am - and I have 2 stores here that double up to .99! The prices in her stores are lower than mine, plus she has a lot more deals getting coupons OYNO with purchases. BOGO sales combined with coupons are the way to get a significant savings when you check out. Store coupons combined with mfg coupons do that too. So don't feel bad about the lack of doubling stores. You'll do great!
