Mperks - can I opt out of texts?

I just signed up for the Mperks. So, now can I opt out of receiving texts from Meijers or does that mean my Mperks will be canceled? What do they text you about after the intial activation code one?

They just text you offers, and 99% of the time the offer is listed somewhere here before it makes it to my phone! It doesn't cancel your account if you opt out.

Will I still get the offers if I opt out or do I have to accept the offer before it goes to my mperks account?

You'll still get the offers. They never text anything to the phone that you would need to respond to or anything like that. The mPerks offers you get always need to be clipped by you on the web site.

The things they text to me are more like "announcements", not really offers.
They have texted me things like:
* Don't miss the big Saturday Sale on 5/21.
* There are new mPerks ready for you.
* Get 5% off this Saturday when you pay with your Meijer Credit Card.
And other things like that. In every case, I've already known about those things via this site or via their ad before I even get the text.

HTH! Does that make sense?

As long as you included an email address in your account when you setup Mperks, you should be able to opt out of the texts by:

Replying to any Mperk text with the word STOP

Use capital letters

Worked for me!

I just tried texting STOP and got a reply instantly that I've been removed from receiving future texts, so this seems to work. Thanks!
