he also said that they have been complaining to corporate about the mealbox coupons not being accepted without cashier intervention. i REALLY wish that would get taken care of.

What a great conversation! I still haven't caught the manager I talk too to discuss the Mealbox coupons. I guess their ploy is working, I didn't even know PF made bread. LOL But we shop there every day (I prefer to use them as a pantry...hehe) So I'll do this deal every time I go until it stops...or they stop stocking bread. haha
A lot of people I know are laid off right now so some soup and bread are welcome.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

There were 2 loaves of PF bread at my store left this evening! So I did the deal twice. Loving it!! Hoping to get in again tomorrow for some more.

I bought soup & bread today in 3 transactions. I got all the soup but when I got to the bread aisle, all the Pepperidge Farm breads marked $2.49 were gone. The very nice lady, A-----, looked in the back - nope! All gone.

I was contemplating putting all the soups back & returning, but then A----- told me to tell the cashier that she said I could have the other breads (same weight by the way) for the $2.49 price.

Yippee! Got my deals.

Just got back from Meijer, There was a huge sign on the pepridge farm bread that said there was an ad correction and that the bread that was included in the deal was the sandwich bread only. Hmmm. Think they are changing the terms of the deal. I was there two days ago and bought some kind of grain bread and I got a cat. Of course tonight all of the sandwich bread was gone. Put my soup on the shelf with everybody else's and bagged the deal for tonight. Have any of the other stores put an ad correction sign up? I was at the Bay City MI store.

They had the same sign up at the Corunna store. And zero bread. No deal for me today.

Same here in Cadillac MI. They had signs up AND they were out of the $2.49choices. I did get a smaller loaf of rye, for $3.?? but I figured free is free, or at least very low cost.

pretty sure they are back peddling this deal after realizing that ppl are using their mb q's and making aprofit. seriously an "ad misprint?" if it were just a misprint, then the cat couldn't spit out, right? we have been to thre meijer in our area, found 4 loaves of bread total, and then the cashier told dh that you are not allowed to use a meal box q along with a catalina!! se we ended up paying 69 cents for each order after tax...i know shes wrong, but what ya gonna do?
oh, fyi, even though they have the sign up saying its not the $2.49 bread thats in the deal, if you are luckey enough to find it, it still spits a cat.

What IS the sandwich bread than??? I bought some different bread last night that the store manager said he would sub in for the deal. The bread was $3.69 but I didn't mind at all. I got a bunch of stuff on my first order (combos, warm delights, soup, bread, etc) and paid 1.3x something and my second order went negative with just soup and bread!! Whoopsie! I threw a clearanced pack of gum on there. HAHAHHA poor cashier was incredibly befuddled. No cat printed, but store mananger had told me to go to the service desk anyway and let them know.

I did 1 deal last night with the PF Cinnamon Bread and it worked fine.
Only had Cream of Mushroom soup though ............

It seems to work regardless of what type of PF bread you buy. It's just a matter of how much you want to pay for 5 cans of soup & a loaf of bread.

i did this deal 3 more times today and then finally used my last $5 cat on other stuff.....had some actual groceries to buy! !

all in all over the past 3 days i've bought 70 cans of soup and 14 loaves of bread. our food bank is going to LOVE me!

oh and i was able to get the sale bread every time except maybe 3 and each time the cat printed.

I found "Sandwich" bread today. It's 3.19 per loaf. It's basically a white loaf that has the word "Sandwich" in the title. I wonder if they are specifying because people were buying frozen breads (Texas Toast Garlic Breads, Garlic Sticks) instead of what you would make a sandwich with (thus calling it "Sandwich" bread)?

I purchased the sale item bread.. the whole wheat for 2.49 and received the catalina. There was an ad correction at my store as well, but I asked and was directed to the center aisle where a ton of soups and breads were.. I figured it would/should work b/c they were displayed together... and it did!

I'm very glad to have such a cool meijer. I saw no ad correction and they were sold out of the 2.49 bread and were more than happy (and friendly) to price adjust the 3.69 breads down to 2.49. There was also bread 3.19 that didn't have a sale tag but was scanning at 2.49 so a tag must have been missing, which is why I got some. I made several transactions.

I did this deal last night with the MB coupon. Worked fine, had no issues with the bread that was on sale for 2.49. I did self-chec and the registar actually paid me 0.26 after each checkout!! So, free bread and soup and I made money!! I did the deal a lot to stock up on soup and shared the bread with people at work. They are loving me for free bread!

Someone has a link to it posted in the other thread about the MB coupon being gone. HTH! That is where I got mine.

I went today twice.....was able to get the soup/bread deal both times, although when I was there the second time, they were out of any of the sale breads, so I had to "splurge" and get the $3.69 one.

I also got each trip 15 cans of the Del Monte veggies!!! This store had them at a lower price (.69), and with the MB Q's and the MQ's, GREAT DEAL! My overage on the first bread/soup deal plus the Purina One cat food deal went towards my total also.

So in 2 trips, I was able to get:
10 Campbell soup
2 bread
30 Del Monte veggies
1 Purina cat food
1 Tropicana OJ (<--just needed this, no coupon )

Spent a total of $6.80, but still have $5 Q....so grand total was only $1.80!

I went to Meijer for the second time this week and no Pepperidge Farms bread again. I live 45 minutes away so this deal was a no go for me. I did good on other purchases though. Oh well, I am glad so many of you got to get in on this. Is the deal over after tomorrow?

The ONYO goes until the 21st. The bread and cream of soup is only on sale until tomorrow. I think there is another soup sale starting Sun. Not sure if there is any bread going to be on sale.

I ended up with 15 Loaves of Bread and 55 cans of cream soups. 3 transactions they pd me 26 cents the other ones ranged from 2-4.64

So I picked up another bread and 5 soups, along with 15 more cans of Del Monte veggies too!
