Crystal Light prices have been raised to $4.50 EACH so the buy two get two is just a little below regular pricing. What makes me FURIOUS is that the REGULAR PRICE was 3 something and now it is $4.50. Not even sure if that is legal. They will only take coupons for the NON-FREE items, which is not a big deal and can be expected, but don't count on big savings. ALSO ALERT****** In case you have not noticed all new Meal Box coupons state ONE PER TRANSACTION. I AM DONE WITH MEIJERS FOR AWHILE - UNTIL THEY GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER ON COUPONS!!!!

i knew something was going to happen.... everytime i go in, the cashiers complain about the q's... like we are taking money from their pockets... and i never have a large quantity... only get 10 papers a week. going through the self check was taking forever, now we are going to have to find another way.... or another store!

What MB Q do you have that says 1 per transaction???? I just printed some this morning and all mine still say one discount per item which means if you buy 5 items you can still use 5 MB Q's....that sucks though. ![]() I have noticed the past few times I have went they aren't as accepting as they used to be. They used to hardly take two glances at the Q and just push it through but the past several days when I have went it seems like they always have SOMETHING to say. They treat you like you're stealing or something. I learned a "trick" this morning. I always have problems with IP's not scanning so the cashier always have to come over and help and they usually get irritated because I have multiple transactions. If your IP's won't scan just press the "key in code" button and key them in yourself. Saves the hassle and frustration of dealing with cashiers. They may still have to come over to "approve" them but at least they won't analyze every Q you have...just thought I would share. Oh and one cashier the other night tried to tell me that if she kept overriding my Q's she could lose her job....BS. If that REALLY were true, she would have not done it. I've heard it all....time to email corporate and get an "in writing" policy to keep in our binders! Especially since soooo many cashiers think you cannot combine manufacturer's and MB Q's. Sorry for the rant but I feel much better now. I know EXACTLY how you are feeling. Meijer never used to be a problem for me and now ever since they updated their system it's becoming more and more of a pain in the rear to get a deal.

just the qs that are also printed in the Meijer advertisement for the frozen food sale say "one per transaction" The frozen food month qs always say that though.... the the normal mealbox qs still say one per item.

| OHHHH, I never noticed that before. I sure hope that is the case. BUT, everyone is right, the cashier's attitudes are horrible anymore. The Crystal Light deal made me furious for the old REGULAR price was on the shelf but to get to the register and have it at $4.50....made my blood boil!!!

Yea, I am continually looked at with disgust when I hand the cashier my stack of coupons. They always try to find one or two coupons that "won't work" and try to jip me. I always have to ask them to call a manager.

When I was in Meijer's yesterday the cashier and manager both told me that the Meal box coupons are going to a 32 digit bar code and that will limit the amount that can be used.

I had a problem the other day trying to use the buy 2 kraft get $2 off meat q's. I have 2 kraft dressings and some meat. I wanted to use 2 $1/1 kraft dressings and 1 $2 off meat wyb 2 dressings. they told me I could only use 2 of my 3 q's.. not all 3.

| I already do multiple transactions when I go there so this shouldn't be a problem for me. It's a bad sign that they are catching on though!

Their catching on due to too many good deals being posted on coupon sites. That is why I don't brag, post picture or any thing of that nature cause I do know that some of the CSM's at the stores I shop at do come on here and read what is posted. Every time some thing is posted at Walmart my head CSM gives me a very hard time. When the item is sold out they will not restock until the sale is over. I do a lot of price matching at my walmart due to not having a lot of stores to choose from. Yes I know this is stupid, they get their money + some. They just don't like the fact we're paying less at check out. I'm really sure they enjoy reading the post with the stockpile sale and seeing the totals people post on here. That is why I don't give out any info to my cashier or CSM about where I learn my deals from or where i get my Q's from. I figure the less they know then the better off we are. It seems with in the last couple of months the deals is getting less & less and the stores is changing their coupon policy's and not to our favor.

Oh wow! I had no idea people resold their items. I use everything I get (or what I don't use, I give away to family who don't have the ability to coupon due to health, location, etc). I have never posted those things either. I don't want to kiss my children's college fund away!

Meijer used to be my EASIEST coupon location. I have actually not even been in there for a deal in almost a month... sad. I agree that people abusing the AMOUNT of deals does lead to a crack down and I think that is what we are seeing at Meijer.

I went to Meijer last week and the crystal light was on sale 2 for $4.00 .With my mqs I got 16 free. No hassle.

Fortunately, my Meijer is still good with coupons. There was a Wall Street Journal story a while back that Meijer times the cashiers, and if they don't meet the company's "baseline," they can get bumped to a lower-paying job or lose their jobs. Could be one of the reasons cashiers don't like to see those of us with coupons ...

Its true...Meijer does time the cashiers. I actually just got a job with them. Havent started yet but I have heard that Yes they are timed on how fast they ring and bag and get onto the next customer...However....they are very BIG on customer service. At least my Meijer store is...they really push the employees to never give a customer a hard time. Anytime you have a problem ctc Corporate cuz they take it very seriously. Funny thing is I have been in 2 diff Meijers last week and both times was a horrible experience. I did report one cashier on u-scan to his boss. He was the rudest of rude. All I got was an apology. I should have called corp.and I will next time.I dont say that I work for them ever. But keep in mind the cashiers are under some pressure but no excuse to be rude to a customer ever.

I printed off 2 crystal light MB Q's last week for the deal to get them super cheap. When I looked at my receipt, I noticed that only one of the MB Q's counted. It seems to me that things are changing in Meijer, and not for the better. I never used to shop there, but since I began couponing, they gained a new customer. If they keep implementing new policies like this, then they will lose me and a lot of others. I find this interesting that companies are cracking down on coupon use. I read an article in the paper about how couponing was at an all time high since 1992- in '92 there were 9 million users, but now there are only 3 million. Not that much of an increase if you ask me. |

While I've had my fair share of issues at Meijer, what I see isn't a crackdown on deals, but simple lack of training. We've all likely had that one crank of a cashier who just seemed bitter that you were getting a good deal - we know these cashiers exist, but they are not the core of my problem. I don't see too much of this at my Meijer, what I see is more along the lines of stupidity. I am not just calling childish names here, but stupidity as in, lacks logical reasoning capabilities; lacks comprehension; lacks decisiveness. Any time I've ever had a coupon or catalina issue, or even things ringing up wrong, I get multiple answers from multiple people who are just making it up on the fly. They do this because training is severely lacking. Make these employees go through training refreshers and make them pass tests to demonstrate that they understand! If they don't pass, don't let them deal with your customers, period! Sometimes I wonder if people in college towns have an easier go with cashiers. I'll take a sharp student who has actually read and comprehended store policy any day over someone who pulls it out of their hat any day, even if I am in the wrong! |

I guess I must be naive but, I thought the point of this forum was to exchange good deals. I read it to see if there are any deals I've missed, not to brag but as a way to share cost savings in this tough economy. After reading this, I will be more cautious about what I post as well but I find it hard to believe that the managers aren't aware of their "loss leaders" until we point them out?
