For those of you that are looking for a binder to orgainize your coupons...Meijer has these on clearance for $13.99. It's a 3-inch binder that zips up made by Case-It. Also has a small zippered pocket for storing not yet filed coupons and a few pockets folders. Has a handle for carrying ease. I bought one of these and love it. Paid $20.00 at that time.

Thanks for the heads up! I currently have a 3" Binder from Case-It that is beginning to show some serious signs of wear! I've been looking for a good deal on a new one b/c I don't want to pay $20 for my next one! I think it was money well spent to pay that for my current one but sure would be nice to get a better deal on another! Thanks again for letting us know. I was at MJ today (in NE Indiana) and didn't see them, but maybe they're hidden somewhere. What part of the store did you see them in? Junkie |

Wow! Thanks ayenbe for posting the link to Target. If the 3-inch ones are that cheap, that's an awesome deal. bargainjunkie, the ones at Meijer were back in the office / school supply section on an end cap aisle. |

So...the coupon pros use a binder. Interesting. I was wondering how i was ever going to fit my current pile of clipped coupons in my coupon holder that goes into my purse.

I've been couponing for 2yrs+. I've used 5 methods of coupon organization: 1. Cut them all and file in a coupon organizer from the dollar store. Lasted 2 weeks. 2. Cut them all and file in a zip around 'check' organizer. Lasted 1 month. 3. Cut them all and file in a Case-It 3 ring binder - one side with HBA, one side with food. Lasted 5 months. 4. Cut them all and file in TWO Case-It 3 ring binders - one for HBA, one for food. Lasted until we went on vacation and I was going to have to cut 3 weeks of inserts. No thanks! 5. Leave the inserts whole. Keep a spreadsheet of coupons that come out (Taylortown Preview will email you every Thursday with a list). Column A is coupon and amount, Column B is expiration, Column C-V are numbered 1-20 and left small and blank. One Excel page/sheet per insert per week. When inserts arrive, I double check one insert to the spreadsheet and make changes as necessary (didn't get one, amt. different, etc). Highlight column C if I have one of an insert, C and D if I have 2, etc. I take all inserts that I have and collate them - put all the fold-over covers together, put all page 1 together, all page 2 together, etc. File the inserts in my filing cabinet (one hanging file per week). When a deal for ManItsGoodPizza comes up, I search the database to find out if we got a coupon for it, what amount off my region got, when the expiration date is, and how many of it I have. If I want to do the deal, I cut all of them. If I don't use any/all of them, I file them in a small 4x6 notecard file I have. Sounds daunting, but has saved me soooooooooo much time and energy. The hardest part was the transition time... now it's quick and easy!

I'm having a hard time envisioning some of what you are talking about ayenbe. Do you happen to have pics of your system?

Wow, ayenbe! I am in awe! Not even sure I got all that but it sounds like a great way to do things. This sounds like the way of the future. Wonder if you could hold a youtube tutorial so we could SEE how you do this.... let us know if you even put this all together in a way that we could actually see step by step your method. It sounds like something I could totally wrap my brain around with a little more help. Thanks for sharing! Junkie |

Meanwhile, today at Target I did find a Case It Zipper Z binder (has two 3 ring zipper sections, pockets, strap) for $4.98 on clearance. It was the only one there. The second Target I hit had only 1 case it binder and it scanned at full price. Since I am a long way off from ayenbe's level, I think I will go with the Z binder I bought and grow into it since I've been using a small 1" binder for a while but need more slots to see things easier.

I checked my Target over the wkend and they were full price. So I didn't get one. The employee I asked about BTS clearance supplies said things were clearanced a week or two and they sold a lot of stuff. BJ |
