I didn't know if this would work or not, but all the machine wanted was to mark down the coupons. I agree to the Veggies one as it says UP TO $1.00, but I did not agree with the meat coupon which just states $2 off meat. in theory this could have been even better if the meat q's were taken at $2, since my packs of beef were all about 1.75-1.97 per pack. Oh well, NOT complaining, it was still awesome even after the cashier got all 'froggy'. I give he credit for not blowing her stack at me tho ! They were very busy and undermanned and she kept having to come back to me to fix the coupons.

Yeah that's the trick... to try not and fall into the trap of buying things you don't want/need just because it's on sale and there's a coupon.... I make sure not to buy things unless I know I will use it... I occasionally might try a different brand of something... but it's still something I will eat/use... Like I know I don't eat Mayonnaise so I'm not going to purchase it even if it's free after coupon... but I used to only buy Jif peanut butter, but recently got Skippy instead, but that works since I really don't notice the difference between peanut butters... Just stick to the things you normally eat/use... and if it turns out that there aren't a lot of food coupons for things that you like you can still save a lot on HBA and cleaning items... The only times I get things and end up not eating them is because I've never tried them before and they were free after coupon... like a while back Heluva dips were free at Meijer... I never tried them before and thought I might like them... but I didn't... but they were free so oh well... I don't usually try something like that if I have to pay anything for it...

It was just Purina One cat food...regular, I guess (not kitten, outdoor, anything like that). I think it may have been marked down prior to my purchase.

Some times Uscan will give change back, it just depends what kind of a coupon it is. But I agree our lane cashiers DO Not give cash back. (Don't get me started about that, they make the full amount of the coupon they should give me the change!)

If you have bottle returns, it allows a negative total... have never tried using the bottle return override to get overage though.

I am going back again today to do the coke/shoes deal, and hanes/cracker deal again (once I do this deal once more I'll be able to get my $20 kraft rebate) I love the back to school sales **mental note next year save more money to spend for this event. I am really starting to hate shopping at Meijer. I always checkout through u-scan and always have problems with my coupons. I often use the mealbox coupons and manufacturer coupons. The cashier always has to come over and manually do the mealbox coupons. Then they give me 20 questions as to what I bought, what size, etc. Ok, so I understand that they want to make sure that I deserve the discount, but it's the tone in their voice that gets me. I shouldn't be made to feel like white trash when checking out. Granted I may not look my best after cleaning the house all day, but still I am looking better than the black toothed beauty helping me out. It never fails that one or two or more coupons didn't get taken off my bill. Tonight, when I noticed that one didn't come off (I was watching the total like a hawk) the cashier got all crabby. Sorry, but do your job and pay attention, dont just punch in your code and go on to the next. Look to see if it came off! And of course tonight the catalina machine jammed up and didn't give me my capri sun $3 OYNO coupon. So I had to go the service desk to return the capri sun. And wouldn't you know another cashier followed me up there and told the desk worker that I used a bunch of coupons (mealbox that got entered in as meijer coupons, cuz the cashier couldn't get them to come off the price) and to call the cashier. But of course first, the service desk woman told me that i would have to come back in the morning to return them. I said that I didnt have to wait until the morning to buy them so why should I have to wait to return them. She grumbled and said that she would have to get an override. Sorry to go on and on, just not very happy right now. Oh and this is my first post, so I'm not sure if this was the best place to post this.

I had the best Meijer trip ever on Friday. I can't post the whole thing because it would take me forever. Let me just say that I got some great deals...They had their flip flops marked down to $2.00 even the dressy, princess ones for the kids. I got the extra 100 box tops and ended up saving over $202 dollars. WOW!!!. Dh laughed at me because it took her 15 minutes 2 scan all of my coupons. Needless 2 say the people behind me were not very happy but some things can't be helped.

Also there was a lady across the aisle from me that spent over $400 in groceries. She had diapers and wipes and laundry detergent and did not have one single coupon. I felt so sorry for her.

Thanks!! I did go to the self checkout lane. The cashier does always have to come over to help with all my coupons, but it seems I have less trouble with them "taking" coupons from me in that lane as opposed to the regular lanes for some reason. Hopefully the BOGO's for Reeses work for others too!

I just GOTTA love 3rd shift ! I went in at 3am and left at 5am ! Cashiers were WONDERFUL ! No problems what so ever and I got LOTS of cheap/free stuff !

12 CapriSun @ 1.57 ea used 1/3 MQ = 14.84 - $6 OYNO = 8.84 (screwed up by not
breaking them apart into 4 counts, would have gotten another CAT that way)
10 Kool Aid @ 1.00 - 7 MBQ = 3.00 + .46 tax (should have been 10 MBQ my bad)
