Very stinky (the ad, not you). I haven't even been to Meijer this week, that's unheard of for me!

Yes very stinky except for pop tarts which my son goes through a box or more a week. I bought 12 boxes and had q's so got a box for a $1. I bought some sargento cheese but there prices went up. It was 1/2 this week but even 1/2 off was $2.04 . When did 8oz cheese get so expensive?

When did everything get so expensive?! Milk on sale for $2.77??? You gotta be kidding me! My kids go through 5 gallons a week. It doesn't seem that long ago it'd go on sale 2/$3. The good ole days...

But yeah, lousy sales this week.

Absolutely terrible week at Meijer. For those of you that have a Kroger, the deals are pretty good there. I skipped Meijer this week and went to Kroger insead.

IMO, Meijer has been trending both in higher prices and stinkier sales since the past year or so. It used to be that one would look forward to seeing what front page highlights were forthcoming, but lately they just suck. And in the suburban Chicago marketplace, when you're competing with stiffly-priced food giants like Jewel and Dominick's, they certainly have the means to push prices higher.

These days, I'm finding better pricing at smaller, independent chains like Woodman's, Joe Caputo & Sons, Butera, etc. etc...

I thought the 10 for $10 and 11th free was a good deal with some of the items. Also, the electrosol was 2/$6 and I got the 20 gel packs for .75 then. There were some sale where when you buy $10 of a certain product you get $10 off a backpack. I thought that was good as well. The prices do seem to be going up but I thought there were enough sales for me to stop in.
