| Bummer- Martin's double coupon policy
I've just recently gotten really serious about couponing and making sure I have multiple Qs for good sales. It hadn't occurred to me to check Martin's (my preferred store, Staunton or Waynesboro, VA) coupon policy. I knew they doubled up to .50 and anything .51-.99 would be $1. Anywho, checked today specifically about multiple Qs and they only double one per item, per visit. Bummer. I still can get good deals there, but now I have to split up my transactions.

yep..wish they would change their policy to do at least doubles of 4 like coupons. If there is something good then I hit Martins several times during that sales week to take advantage of the deal. Wish we could do it all at once!

Aww, thats a bummer. I swear I have never had any problems at the one in Hagerstown. They have a sign right as you are walking in that says you can use 4 of the same Qs and they double anything up to .99. That means a .75 doubles to 1.50. Sorry your store isn't the same : (

It would be nice if all stores in the same chain had the same policies- wouldn't it make it easier for them too??? Of course, they'd probably pick the strictest policy (like ours) and you guys with good stores would be out of luck. I won't suggest that! :<}

That stinks for us in Winchester....Hagerstown is only 45 minutes away and you get better deals with coupons. I don't know why they can't make it a store wide policy if they can do it differently in different locations!

| I just went back and checked my receipt and you were right, its just one per item that is doubled. Dang! Well, I am glad I figured that out now and not when I was trying to use 4 of the same : (

I'm not crazy about that doubling policy, either. In my area, the maximum value is $1 off, so those .75qs don't truly double. Some weeks I end up going to Weis instead even though it's a little farther away.

I keep hoping that Giant will relax their coupon policy too. I've started to do a lot more shopping at Acme and Weis because they're not as restrictive.

I went to the North end Hagerstown, MD Martin's and they doubled all four of my .50 coupons for the same product. I tried this at the Waynesboro, PA Martins and they only doubled one coupon. I asked why and the store manager said that the normal Martin's policy is to only double one coupon for the same product. He said all of the Hagerstown Martin's are doubling up to four coupons because of the "new" store in the north end. He suggested that this is only for a limited time but did not know when it would end. I wish all the stores would double at least four coupons for the same product also! |
