Here are a few ideas I have to make this work a little smoother and hopefully we can make the board more active.

Sticky of monthly catalina deals?

List of stores that double up only $.50 to a dollar and those that double more, those that do gas deals, those that do $ off. I would be willing to travel a bit for free food!

List of coupons found, both store and coupon machines, etc.

Anybody want to help me get these going or have any thoughts? I thought this might help with some of the Martins/Giant issues we face. Also those that get the ad early can we get ad scans? I would love those!

Good ideas. How does one do a sticky? Do we need a moderator to do that? I suppose I could try scanning the ads when I get them... never tried it, but I will certainly see how it goes. How else can I helP?

I would love to see this forum rockin! I kind of got discouraged the last few weeks because it seemed that there were only a few posters and a lot of lurkers without thanks or acknowledgements.

I would like to see a sticky with the Martins printable coupons (like in the Food Lion Forum). That way it would be easy to find the current ones. And if after the current coupons are posted, the original poster could put them in the main post.

I'm excited! I will be more than willing to help....esp. with the catalina's---most are the same in a lot of the grocery stores....that's where I get the ideas and just try them out! That way, we can post if it worked or not.....they usually do work though!

I'm pretty sure the Lehigh Valley stores (Allentown, Bethlehem, Coplay, Easton, Lehighton, Nazareth) double up to .50 and do gas deals.

Great idea! I'm glad to see some active Giant shoppers!

I shop at the Giant in Pottstown, PA (used to be Clemens).
They double coupons up to .99 routinely- however if you have more than one on a like item they will only double the one, and the others go through at face value. That's kind of annoying, because do I really want to make a separate trip back to have them double another .55 coupon.
I never seem to get any worthwhile catalinas. And even if I see them marked on shelf (IE- buy Post trail cereal and get .75 on your next order, they never seem to print out)
The only one I consistently get is on Lance PB crackers- but it is a whopping .60 on your next purchase of 3 Lance pkgs- no doubling! Whoopee!

Does anyone shop around here and know if Genuardis will double more than one like coupon in the same transaction? The only trouble is that their prices are generally so much higher than Giant.

Yesterday was the first time I've seen a lady at a table giving samples of Heluva Dips (which actually were pretty good) and she was giving out peelies for .75 (no doubling- boo) on the puchase of a 1.49 container of Heluva dip.

Pottstown also gives gas miles instead of dollars off in all those promotions. The Giant gas station is just up Route 100 next to the TJ Maxx shopping center, so it's a little bit of a drive for me, but not too bad. There's actually a Giant in that shopping center also, but I rarely go there.

I'm currently going through my stack of clipped coupons, and trying to organize them to see what I acn do this week with the doublers.
Looks like the Crystal Light, Grey Poupon, A-1, Ritz and Wheat thins are all $2- so free with the $1 doubled Kraft coupons. Too bad you can only double 4!

I do the Allentown and Bethlehem stores and if I have a $.75 Q, they "double" it and give me an extra $.25 off....so.....they double up to $1 total money off.

They say only 4 per household, but I go in throughout the week and do 4 more Q's...no beeps. They do not track them through your card.

How does one find the catalina deals? Do they tag the items in the store or something?

Sometimes they are tagged next to the products in the store. Sometimes you will get a catalina alerting you to an upcoming catalina program.

Mostly the catalina's just pop out, without really even knowing it was coming....my suggestion would be to post them here! also, I find out about them through the main forum when others post for their grocery stores. 9 times out of 10 the "product specific" catalinas are for more than just that one store.

A couple weeks ago I was coming home from Kentucky and picked up my Sunday papers in E-Town. They do the gas deals there too which I had no idea. All the other stores in Lanc co do the Buy x, save $ deals. But what was surprising to me was the price differences on the sale items. On 99% of the sale prices, you are getting a better deal at the Harrisburg area stores than I am at the Lancaster stores. And it was a significant difference. Anywhere from .20 to $2 difference on each item. So, if I were you I would only make the trip to Lancaster if you are getting an extra special great or free deal.

I can only speak for the 2 stores in Pottstown- both do the gas deals, and both double up to .99 with no cap-so a .75 will be doubled to 1.50 which is great. However only the first coupon will be doubled on any like item. I'm going to check out the Exton store and see what their policy is.

Exton store is same policy. To the best of my knowledge, it seems that all of the Chester Country stores double a .75Q to 1.50. And to the best of my knowledge, ALL martins/giants only double one like Q

For Giant on 2641 Shillington Road, Sinking Spring, PA

If you have two of same coupon they will only double one. I have used a second set of Doublers in separate trips. Also my sister used the $1/5 produce coupon printed from the online magazine instead of having to pick up the magazine in the store, that was at the one on 3935 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA

The one item that stands out from that weeks circular...in the Lancaster version Pampers wipes refill was $11.89. In the E-town/Harrisburg version they were like $3 cheaper.I know I was shocked too.
