Hey everyone, thought I would start a list of items that are usually free at Giant after doubled Qs. Mine doubles up to .99 cents. I can usually get the following items free after doubled Qs:

Suave Deodorant $1.49 - .75/1 Q
Reach Floss - $.99 -.50/1 Q
Pounce cat treats - $.99 - .75/1Q
Franks Red Hot sauce - $.79 - .50/1 Q
French's classic yellow mustard small size .99 - .50/1Q
French's honey mustard and spicey brown mustard $1.49 - $.75/1Q = FREE
Barilla Picollini $1.09 - .50/1 Q = .09 for a box of pasta
Kraft Mac and Cheese crackers $1.00 (on sale) - .55 tearpad Q
Johnson's Buddies soaps usually .96 or .99. I get overage with a $1 Johnson's
Organic Valley Stringles individual string cheese .69. Use $1/2 from organic booklet
River and Carolina rice in the smaller boxes are $0.99 each - .50/1 Q doubled
.75/2 Carolina rice mix Q - .63 each = FREE for 2
Superpretzels "pretzelfils" frozen appetizers $1.69 - .75Q doubled = .19 OOP
Wacky Mac pasta is always free w/ .75/1 Q and often free when its on sale 10/$10 w/ a .50/1 Q
Fruit2O Essentials 18oz single flavored water is .99 - FREE after $1.00/1 Q

Where is the Reach Floss Q from?

This is not regularly free, but my Martin's has Barilla pasta on sale for $1.09 through 4/25. Use the Picollini .50 coupon to make it .09. This would be a good one to buy on e-bay, if you need to stock up.

Also, Kraft Macarooni and Cheese Crackers are $1 through 4/25. If you have any tear pad coupons for .55, those are free.

Thanks for reminding me about the Picollini... I posted about that somewhere else under this forum, but didn't think to add it to this thread!

As far as the reach floss Q, I don't personally have any current ones. The Q database looks like there are one or two that may apply. I didn't want to delete it from the list, so others are on the lookout if a Q were to come out for it, KWIM? Same w/ the Pounce, to my knowledge there are no current Qs, but that doesn't mean they won't come out w/ more or someone may get a Q from the company or something. HTH.

Geez! I need to shop at your store more often. I just bought Franks Red Hot sauce in the little bottle and French's yellow mustard in the jar. They cost $1.09 and $1.29 respectively. That really annoys me. Especially because your store also doubles coupons up to .99.

Wow, what a bummer that your store is sooo different! That is definitely frustrating trying to set up deals via this forum to have all these variations. You are in Lancaster, right? I'm pretty sure the Giant in Thorndale has the same prices as the ones in Exton and Lionville (which I normally shop at).

Sorry - this is a bit OT, but does the Lionville Giant double up to .99 face value? I'm literally about half way between Lancaster, Reading, and Exton and only recently discovered that the Exton Giant doubles up to .99. I had been doing most of my shopping at Thorndale, but they only double to .50 face value.

By the way Carrie - just wanted to say thanks so much for all of your hard work! I'm a newbie at this and I really look forward to reading your posts every week and getting a heads up on the sales. It's been extremely helpful for me to plan my runs out early on.

Thanks! I can confirm Lionville doubles up to .99 (.75 off Q will double to 1.50). They still will only do one per transaction to the best of my knowledge (I always plan the deals around this). I just got home from the Lionville one though and they definitely double up to .99 HTH

I can also confirm that the Thorndale Giant doubles up to and including .99. I thought that they did, but a few ppl on here posted that they didn't... There was a sign at the entrance (where the carts are) that says that they double up to and including .99. (I used a .75 Q and it did double). HTH

you can also get the .50/1 Barilla whole grain pasta coupons on thecouponclippers.com and get them for $.09. I get the Wacky Mac when you can get the coupons for free or .19 and also the egg noodles at times. However my giant only does up to .50 so there isn't much!

My giant doubles coupons up to $.99 but will only double up to $1 value. does that make sense? $.50 coupons double to $1.00 but $.75 coupons double to $1 also. Ugh.

my giant doubles up to $0.99, and NO overagges. which I don't like, but i guess free is just as good, right? . trying to get ahold of some Barilla pasta coupons to take advantage of that sale!!

River and Carolina rice in the smaller boxes are $0.99 each. A few weeks ago there was a $0.50 off one box of any River or Carolina white, brown, jasmine or basmati rice in one of the RP or SS circulars. So, they would be free after doubling.

I know that most Giants in the south central PA area double only up to $1.00 (so, $0.75 qs double to $1, not $1.50 - Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, and all Harrisburg locations). I did hear tell that the Carlisle location doubles qs worth $0.99 or more. I have yet to check them out, though.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if that's a relatively new policy. I haven't shopped there for a few months ever since I realized Exton doubled up to .99 because I had used .75 Q's at Thorndale previously and they only doubled to $1. Hopefully all the Giants will catch on and start doing this!

This past weeks insert had a .50/1 Carolina or River rice Q again. It also had a .75/2 Carolina rice mix Q. I pulled that one aside to check. My Giant today had only one flavor (yellow rice) for .63 each. So I got 2 for free after my Q! I'll add this to the list in post #1.

and FYI...these come in small pouches, not boxes like the rest of the rice. HTH.

Our Martin's only doubles up to .50 (and will "double" anything between .51 and .99 to $1). Also, I have tried to use the Johnson's coupons on the Buddies, and they wouldn't let me use them at all - wouldn't give me the overage, wouldn't adjust them down, nothing.
