I went to Giant on Sunday...Excited to use my Triplers...Well I had Campbells coupons for 40cents on 3. So I purchased 9 of them and gave 3- 40cent coupons,and 3 triplers. Well..they would not go through and the cashier told me that I could only use one tripler coupon. I asked her to talk to the manager. The manager told me that Giant's policy is that you can only use one of the same coupons and that if you have more than one, they will not even double it
Yikes...has anyone heard of this policy?

Yep... it's one of the reasons I don't coupon much there. They promote they double coupon up to .99 and they promote the triples but they don't state that they will only double or triple one like item!

I'm not sure about the double Q policy (I rarely have multiple Qs since I am new to this). I have also had trouble w/ the triples this week. I went today and they would only let me use two. Two of them would have had overage, which is why they wouldn't accept those (I think). Not sure about the other 2, I didn't really argue, as it wasn't stuff I needed. Needless to say, I won't be thrilled about triples in the future!

I used to shop solely at Martins before I started couponing. Since then, I rarely shop there--I find more bargains at Food Lion! Only one-like coupon is ridiculous, and I plan to let them know.

The same thing happened to me today. So, I took my Giant coupons to Wegman's and used them there without any problems. Wegman's accepts competitor's coupons... so that is where I will use the doubles and triples for now on!

Thanks! Very good to know! I did email Wegman's about their Q policy, and I believe they said they only double up to .50 though. I tend to stick to Giant b/c of their doulbe up to .99 policy. Although I did recently learn that they will only double one like Q per transaction (policy says per day).

I did learn the hard way that Giant's Double coupon policy stinks! But not really anybody better around here. With all the stores we have here you would think I would find something better than that. I need to understand Weis's policy better.

Weis' will double up to 4 like coupons per transaction. My store will allow me to do multiple transactions if I have more than 4 coupons though. But, ymmv.

Do multiply transactions.... that is what I did! I made them ring up my flour purchases seperately because I had multiplies.... it is a pain but it works out better in the end.

I know it is a crappy policy... I too do better at Food Lion! I would love to see them offer a double day!

Yep, this is true...and it stinks.

I have not other stores that triple OR double, so I deal with it.
