This is one barcode question that is allowed: If the barcode starts with a 5 (very first itty bitty small number usually), then it will double/triple. If it starts with a 9, it will not.
Interesting barcode reading: go to Food Lion, pull some blinkie coupons. Go to HarrisTeeter (or Lowes Foods) and pull the same blinkie coupons. Now compare the barcodes. The ones from FL will all start with 5; the ones from HT or LF will all start with 9. All the other numbers are usually the same on the barcodes... just the first #s will differ.
