1. The Fresh Rewards cash coupons will be automatically printed when you've reached their "print" level, (I think it's $5 dollars.) Then, this coupon expires in 30 days, AND it's a catalina-type coupon that you have to keep track of. The greenpoints would just sit on your card until you were ready to use them. 2. You must spend an average of $50 per week in a 3 month period. I can't tell if this is separate from the specific per-week promotions, like they are running this week. BUT, let me tell you, there is NO WAY I SPEND $50 per week average at Lowe's Foods over a 3-month period!!!!! $55 is my WEEKLY groceries budget and it gets spread over 3 grocery stores getting their best deals of the week. So, I'm holding my breath on this new program. Amy |

I agree, I am a little weary about this new program myself. There is no way I spend that much at LF, probably not even 50.00 a month. I am hoping that the Fresh Rewards and the "Loyalty Rewards" are two different things. I guess I am just getting too old to adjust to changes as good as I used to!

I agree regarding the Loyalty Rewards. I will never spend that much per week for that time period, so I will probably never get those! But I think the weekly Fresh Rewards deals may work out to be good, if they have some deals that match up with coupons!

Has anyone tried to "roll" the weekly rewards yet? I purchased the Betty Crocker potatoes and Hamburger Helpers today to get the $5.00 reward. I have more coupons for these items and was wondering if I could use my $5.00 reward to earn the same reward. I donate these to the local food bank whenever I can get them really cheap and if these roll that would make it an excellent deal.

I went today and bought more Hamburger Helper and boxed potatoes. I used coupons and the $5.00 reward from yesterday. I received another $5.00 reward so - YEAH we are able to roll the rewards.

I had added the instasave to my card (old one) the same day I went to LF and got my new card and asked them the same thing. I was told it takes until the next day for any instasave offers to transfer to the new card but I was allowed to use my old card to receive those discounts that day. I wasn't picking up anything to do with the new program so it didn't hurt me to use the old one. I would double check with CS to make sure!

This is good to know. When I went shopping this week, I got my "new" card, this checked out. The instasave didn't show up. So, I had them void that off the new card order, then did a separate transaction using my old card, and then the instasave came off. Amy |

Cool! I hadn't heard of "rolling" on these deals but it makes total sense, or should I say "cents"? LOL! Sorry but couldn't resist the pun. I'm definitely going to be rolling then.

I spoke to a lady at customer service today who was very unhelpful. My very specific question was what exactly do I get for spending $50 per week in their store. She told me that is a tiered rewards program and she was not allowed to release to me what I get for meeting this spending threshold. She also said they (customer service reps) were not provided with the information, thus she could not tell me what I would get for spending $600 a quarter with their store. I told her that I am not upset with her, but am very upset that Lowe's wants me to spend so much and won't/can't tell me what I will get for it. Does anyone know anything more about the "loyalty" aspect of this program? Keeping it top secret even from the consumers it will impact seems ludicrous to me!

All we know is that it's a loyality based program, meaning the people that spend more money at Lowesfoods will receive more extras in your e-mail/mail, I'm assuming. It's also based on the number of people in your household, but what that is I have no idea.. there is a 1 800 number to call on the rewards card to get more detail, but sincerely, if I knew as a CSL what it entailed, I would tell you. However, I do have to say, when you buy the weekly specials to get those coupons, you don't have to worry about buying $50.00 a week there or not. I work there and I still don't buy everything there. ( b/c I shop where I get the best deals!) But.. I've gotten over $50.00 worth of coupons already..which took way less time than saving for those greenpoints ( which I only earned a $25 gift card for 3 months.. It's a change.. we all were leery. but corporate did this... and saving money quicker has been rewarding to many so far. |

Thanks for responding. I know how tough it can be in customer service, I worked for American Express for years, and it's often some idiot with a cushy salary who makes these types of decisions without thinking things through. I am just very frustrated that no one seems to be able to tell me what I will get for being loyal . I shop mainly at Lowe's but am seriously reconsidering as keeping what my "rewards" would be a secret from me is just not OK with me. I see it as equivalent to a tiered based credit card we offered at AMEX and then saying, well you have spend $600 or more then in 3 months it will be a surprise what you will get for it! A credit card company couldn't get away with it, loyalty cards at restaurants can't get away with it, so why in the world would a grocery store think they can? I am writing a letter to corporate to try to get some straight answers since they seem to be the one's holding the key to the lock. Until then, I am adopting the where can I get the best deal mentality so the loyalty aspect may not be worth me spending most of my grocery $ there and I can't make an informed decision at this point. Thanks again for taking the time to reply |
