| Experience with Lowes' New Coupon Policy?
Recently, Lowes made some changes to their coupon policy. I updated our stickied thread with the new policy~ http://www.afullcup.com/forums/lowes...olicy-faq.html. One of the biggest changes that I noticed is the statement that DND coupons will not be doubled. I have not been to Lowes and tried to use doubles this week. I am curious if they are pulling any coupons that state Do not Double or what? I read on a few other boards that people were having issues with this. So, who has shopped Lowes this week and what was your experience? Are the coupons still doubling as they did in the past? Thanks for any input!

I haven't really had any bad experiences at Lowes. Actually, I would rather go there than anywhere else in town because all of their employees are wonderful! I have never have a single problem with their employees and they make shopping their really pleasant. They even keep the in-ad coupons at the registers and will scan them for you without even having to ask.

I agree Mommy2McKenna. I have always had positive experiences at Lowes, and with HT getting so strict on their coupon policy, I have been shopping at Lowes more often. I hope the new policy at Lowes is not going to make using coupons more difficult.

I went this past Friday and none of my q's doubled. I am very upset about this because I LOVE shopping at Lowes Foods but I just can't do it if they are not going to double my q's. I am not sure yet what I am going to do. I picked up a few things at Food Lion last night and I may go to Aldi for some things. I know that for most people where to grocery chop is no big deal but couponing really helps my family make ends meet so I am very sad and unsure of what to do now. |

Some were DND yes but others were not, they just scanned them all and the register took of for face value. So even the ones that did not say DND didn't double. But honestly so many of the coupons are DND anymore that it would still make a pretty noticable difference. I guess most of the stores are going to this policy though? |

mfr coupons especially blinkies start with either a 9 or 5. previously, the blinkies/inserts coupons that start with a 5, even if they had DND or DNT markings doubled or tripled automatically UNLESS an alert cashier notices and un-double/un-triple manually based on the wording. but if as stated above, MQs that don't have DND and start with a 5 are not doubling, there may have been changes made to programming of register. this simply means that customers have to be more alert now when they check out to make sure their coupons (no DND/DNT) double. it is best to have a calculator handy so one knows an estimate of their total after doubles. if their totals come out a lot more than expected, they can fix it with cashier immediately. otherwise, they have to go to CS to fix the problem and thus waste more time.

I went last night and all of my coupons doubled just fine. However, I ONLY use doubleable Qs at Lowes and save all my DNDs for Walmart. I personally don't think it is right to expect a DND q to double because it clearly says do not double. When they do double, I think that is misusing the coupon. Like I said, I went last night, used several Qs, and everything was perfectly fine.

| I disagree. The mfg is not paying for the double/triple, the store is. The store only gets back face value of the coupon.

| I have heard that some stores do get paid for the double/triple of the coupon. Either way, if the manufacturer had intended for the coupon to be doubled/tripled, then they wouldn't have put DND/DNT on it.

My Bagelful blinkies doubled on Saturday (Mooresville store). I don't remember if they were DND though. The ones I got from Publix this week are 5's but say DND. Will see when I get back home this weekend. I'm just happy with such a great sale price! (Have I mentioned we love these things )

| I had some not double
I went Monday to get Bagelfuls. I had one Blinkie that did double (it started with a 5) and I had 3 Qs pulled from right in front of the Bagelfuls at Lowes that did not double (they started with a 9 and stated "do not double").

I shopped at Lowes yesterday, and used a ton of coupons- almost $30 worth, and I think they all scanned/ doubled just fine.

When using LFTG, I make a copy of my coupons and at the top of each page in red, write the total value of the coupons on that page, including doubling. I have a copy for the LFTG manager and for me. That way, when my credit is made, I have a record and can ask where the conflict is/was. I have had no trouble since I went to this method. And DNDs are the only ones not doubling, but I never expected them to in the first place. Perhaps making copies would be a bit more challenging when actually going into the store, but then if there were a conflict at the register, a customer could just move forward to the Customer Care counter and would have evidence to back up his claims. |

I noticed at mine when no cash register were open and the manager took me at the customer service some of my coupons would not scan right so the manager keyed them in and they did not double so she had to manually key in the double amount she noticed it. I was happy i always have to watch to see if not i make note to show them but really never had a problem

I personally am beginning to like Lowes much more than other stores. I've generally had good experiences with their employees (especially at the store I frequent most often). I did have an instance once where they gave me some trouble over IP's. So, I resorted to speaking with a manager before I shopped at a store new to me, to let them know what my experience was, and fill them in on their corporate coupon policy. Afterward, no problems at all. Managers were all kind and went by the corporate policy. As for DND coupons, I have some Bagel-fuls q's that I've used during this 3 week price break sale. They have continued to double every time I've used them.

I have shopped at Lowes, Bloom, Food Lion, HT, Walmart, and KMart. I LOVE Lowes. And they have lowered thousands of prices. In comparison I am finding that their prices are starting to be even lower than Bloomon many items. And don't forget the $10/50 eoffer. So, yep, Lowes Rocks!!

Ok, can't find that $10/50 e-offer. Could you elaborate? :-) I forgot to mention that I regularly get meat for 50% at the sale meat counter there. My Lowes has been great to help stock my freezer, and I've even had coupons for some of what I got on clearance.

I went to lowes today and yes the dnd ones will not double anymore. She said they have redone their systems for the coupons not to take them and double them and cashiers have to look at them also if they take one and it doubles they will be written up for it so their jobs are now on the line I am not pushing it at all. I will use them for triples.
