UPDATE: I finally made it back to Lowe's yesterday for another Bagelful run . Armed with DH & a stack of Q's I'd been collecting from FL (NC) & Publix (FL) over the past few weeks. Some of the blinkies doubled & others did not. We had 3 that were 'regular' & 9 that were 'DND'. Cashier had to key in some, but not all, of the DND's (a few beeped). Receipt showed 3 that doubled & 9 that did not.

I had compared these Q's to see if there was any difference. They had the EXACT same code (5 21000 23055) on both.

The only difference that I noticed were the string of numbers in the upper right hand corner -- away from the bar code.. The 'regular' ones read "341993" where the DND said something else. (I don't have any more 'DND's to look at as I used them all yesterday ). I'm assuming this is a batch #.

So, same Q UPC, but the DND, did not double. I don't know how it knew, but it did.
