So I am in Lowes Foods picking up some items with my triple coupons and this Nice lady approaches me and asked me if i knew how many of the same coupon she could use. I was like you can use up to 4 of the exact same coupons. She goes on to tell me how she used to be a teacher and is now a Sahm so shes trying coupons to save some extra money where she lost her salary. So I go on to tell her if you really want to learn how to maximize those coupons and get the best deals possible check out a full cup. So she is like wow i will have to do that. I told her about what an exciting place this was and how much i really enjoyed being here and hearing everyone's story's and deals. We stood there in the middle of the aisle and talked for like 10 minutes about coupons and afc. She said that she was going to look into it once she got back home and i sure hope she does. She sounded very excited and interested in afc and i just love it when i can direct others to the "source" of my deals. So thank you very much to all of the admins, mods, forum leaders, and members for everything that you do. It really is greatly appreciated more than a lot of us could ever say. Keep up the good work you are all an awesome group of guys and gals!!

I was thinking that the way this economy is i may have possibly helped her out greatly and i love helping others as much as i can. It was really just an awesome experience and i just felt so good about my day and myself afterwards.

I did 3 transaction and so did my husband, at two different stores. We bought $300 worth of groceries for $60, it would have been better if my husband hadn't insisted on buying stuff that I didn't have coupons for, like $5 orange juice, and then I come back from the bathroom and he had got 2 bags of pretzels for $5 and already opened one, so that was $10 not needed to spend. But I still think I did pretty good.

It was so nice and stress-free --- so different from HT triples! My niece and I are hitting them up again first thing in the morning. I really need to stop tripling for awhile, but I just can't pass up FREE!

HT is better and Lowes does something with their register totals. Lowes was going to stop triples altogether but decided to continue to be competitive with HT. They are changing the system to stop multiple trips on the same day. That might be nice for those of us who went and can't get the things we need. I HATE not being able to get what I went for and seeing 15 of them on someone's stockpile pics. Our manager said they are also looking at addressing the "problem" of people with multiple cards. I love Lowes and am glad that they decided to continue with triples. On to bloom I go!

If you purchase the warm delights deal don't forget to look under the box. There are coupons in side 2 for .50 in each one. THen you can go back and use those coupons along with the lowes food coupons. I also looked inside my betty crocker supreme brownie mixes and found coupons as well to use.

| Their policy states that they accept IP coupons as long as they scan. I assume they will double and triple them too.

I just got back from my 3rd trip this week. Just wanted to share that I had a manager bagging my groceries for me. He asked if I had shopped triples this week and I said yes, every day! He was genuinely happy about that and said- we are so glad that you chose to shop with us! After my total, he told me that he thought he should give me $100 and let me shop for him! (Actually it was my highest trip because I needed a few things that were not super cheap with coupons...) Anyway, it was refreshing to see that the manager was so positive and happy to have me in his store, using my coupons! I know others have had disappointing experiences when using coupons, so this brightened my day just a bit! Hope everyone had a great triples!!! Maybe they will decide to do them again! |

Well, this has been a tumultuous week for me. Final preparations for Grandparents' Day at our school (major event) with it culminating on Friday. Let's just say this Granny was getting pretty tired. But I did have an obligation to do triples at Lowes! So Wednesday evening I went online trying to find and print coupons to take advantage of the deals you great folks had posted. Well, Thursday was a wipe out as far as my doing a Lowes triple shop. Too many obligations leading up to GP day. Friday was another wipe out because at the conclusion of this event and clean up afterwards, I was too tired to think of doing anything but drive home with the wind in my hair. So Saturday I slept in until 10 a.m., got up, got caffeinated, got dressed, and sat around nursing my tired body, tired spirit, and tired mind. After a sandwich for lunch, I finally got myself dressed enough to go public. (It takes quite a bit to pull together a tired Granny to go public.) Anyway, off I went to Lowes Food. Coupons all organized and matched up with the special Lowes' Ad coupons. So I ask a clerk about a specific product featured in their own coupon; and after she gives me an answer to the question, she says, "You know we're NOT tripling coupons today?" After picking my jaw up from the floor, and the pieces of my fragile, broken body and spirit, I asked, "Why?" She said, "It was Wed., Thurs., Fri." So I simply finished my shopping and hoped for the best financially I could. After all, their prices are pretty high compared to others in the area. ![]() Any way, I just wanted to share my be-moaning with someone who would understand.

| My first Lowe's triple exerience!!!
Friday was my first tripling at Lowe's Foods and only the second time I have tripled period. I think I did pretty well, and maybe went a little crazy. I had so much fun and was so incredibly exhausted after wards. I wish I could have done this all three days, but just wasn't available. I got a total of $457.64 worth of groceries for $104.77 oop, for a grand total savings of $352.87!!!! Not bad for my second time couponing, if I must say so myself (~ahem~) =D Here's the breakdown per transaction if you are interested... There was a total of nine transactions in four trips at two stores. I believe my sweet aunt, who turned me on to this, has created a monster... The Lowe's on New Garden Road in Greensboro would only let us do one transaction, which really ticked me off because I had two in my cart! Grrr...my other sweet little Lowe's worked with me though. Yaayy!#1 Total-66.38 Savings-47.57 Spent-18.81 #2 Total-43.00 Savings-40.78 Spent-2.22 #3 Total-47.86 Savings-47.17 Spent- .69 (I actually was negative17 cents (overage), so I had to purchase a extra pack of tic-tacs to actually spend anything!) #4 Total-55.22 Savings-40.61 Spent-14.61 #5 Total-55.15 Savings-28.57 Spent-26.58 #6 Total-18.88 Savings-15.39 Spent-3.49 #7 Total-62.33 Savings-52.60 Spent-9.73 #8 Total-62.62 Savings-48.23 Spent-14.39 #9 Total-46.20 Savings-31.95 Spent-14.25 Last edited by sparrish; 10-12-2008 at 12:59 PM. My husband used to complain about my cutting coupons and sad it wasn't worth it. Well he went with me to do triples one night. He was amazed! He even gave me a pep tlk the other day when I complained how much I had to spend for ink to print the coupons. He said for all you saved in just one trip you can pay for the ink 3 times over. here are my transactions #1 OOP $5.12 Saved $44.57 #2 OOP $0.04 Saved $5.97 #3 OOP $4.75 Saved $51.51 #4 OOP $6.65 Saved $43.28 #5 OOP $14.32 Saved $28.45 #6 OOP $5.71 Saved $47.67 #7 OOP $4.57 Saved $30.60 #8 OOP $27.47 Saved $67.46 This was my most expensive trip and messed up on this one. I was not paying attention and used 5 too many coupons and then they missed one totally. So if I had not missed up I would have paid like $17.00. So total OOP for 8 trips $68.90 Saved$ 309.51 |
