My name is pixiefc and I am a hypochondriac (although not near as bad as I was growing up).

My hubby is always saying chill out you are not going to die...every little thing and I am convinced I am dying. I think my years working at the hospital around all the different ailments has made it a bit bad.

Drives my hubby BONKERS!!!

Anyone else? Please tell me I am not the only one...

Me too, I work at a plasma center and I am always thinking I have Hepatitis or HIV. Last week it was cancer because I was coughing

Only when I am feeling like I need some attention, that's when I get over dramatic. Most of the time I totally neglect my health and say it'll go away.

not laughing at cancer but just the thought you had it by coughing...sounds just like me.

I was convined last week that my rash I developed was a blood disease (nope-an allergic reaction)....

I think it's a downfall of working in the healthcare field...sometimes you just know too much! Which is ironic because when something really is wrong I ignore it and wait for it to get better, and then when I do end up at the dr's office I get chewed out for having known better.

Ya'll are sooo funny. I thought I was the only one.

I'm such a hypo as well that I actually had to think if I'd been coughing. I bet a coughing spell starts up tomorrow! I've already had a brain tumor, breast cancer, colon cancer, and a heart attack by the age of 26!

And now you add pregnancy....I am sure that if I get pregnant again and it sticks I will be an even worse hypochondriac....oh vey!

I remember when I was pregnant with my first I swore up and down the pain in my side was because my spleen had become detached. In reality it was a strain of my muscles. I remember before my U/S of my abdomen telling my Mom (a nurse) that as we speak my spleen is just floating around on in the middle of nowhere.

I don't think I'm a hypochondriac but some times the power of the internet can make anyone feel like one when they begin to self diagnose. LOL.
