as some of you know my dh has severe back problems, he has had many spine surgeries,he had the last one a couple months ago,and he is still in severe pain 24/7 were at our wits end,he can hardly even sleep.his surgeon in traverse city,mi said hes done all he can do,im like well something needs to be done he cant live like this! years ago he had it fused, that has since cracked,alot so they did a few more surgeries to take out tiny pieces of broken,crumbling spine,they were worried they will get in his spinal cord, and im not sure what all exatly they have done,but now he has no dr but our family dr,im at a loss as where to find a dr willing to touch his back..they all say no,they cant,he really needs a great spine surgeon,anyone know where i should turn...help....

Just a thought, does he have a TENS unit. I have one and it has been a lifesaver several times. My Dr wrote me a prescription and our medical insurance at that time paid for it. They also sell them on ebay.

thx hes had 1 and it dont work for him ..... his spine is crumbling,but i would think something could be done,for pain,hes soo tired of pain pills,the dr asked him if he wants medical marajuana,cause they legalized it here,but he dont want it..i dont know if it would help or not..

he had the tens unit over 20 yrs ago i think,i told him im sure they are alot better now,so hes going to call our family dr about 1,thx

I don't know a lot about spines, but maybe you could locate the medical association that oversees things (you know, like for my asthma I look at the Asthma and Allergy Foundation) and see if you can get a referral or even just more information about locating a specialist. Your insurance company, if you have one, might be able to suggest something as well. Most of them have help lines for this kind of thing. Hope you and your DH can get a resolution to his problems.

were trying to get him in to see a spine surgeon now..i hope they will take him,im thinking thier afraid to make it worse...
