Gone Blind Please keep my husband and his family in your prayers. My mil went totally blind today. She had a detached retina in one eye that could not be repaired already but today she had a stroke in the other eye and she is totally blind. As much as she can drive me crazy I wouldn't wish this on anyone. We will have to start staying at her house more often which will not be to bad as we share yards. I hope she does not give up. My FIL passed away during this past christmas.

Keep praying! MY mother had brain cancer which pressed on her nerves and caused her to go blind. Brain cancer is bad enough...blindness was so hard for her. One night she was in the bathtub and she just said "bonus size ban." She grabbed the deodorant (bonus size ban) and looked over at me and told me what my shirt said. We called an elderly woman who we called a play grandma (my mom had lost both parents by age 8) and told her my mom was healed. SHe started crying and said that yesterday (the day my mom was healed...which was in the evening time) she had been up all day saying prayers and fasting over a "Blessed Infant of Prague" which I think is a Catholic thing (we're Baptist but my mom was raised Catholic). Her prayer was that mymoms sight would be restored. I still have the deodorant in my keepsake box...reminder of unlikely miracles in unlikely places!

Thank you all, boy has this been a tough day. It has now been 24 hours since the lights went out. I got off work and went to MIl house this morning when SIL #1 went home and SIL #2 showed up 2.5 hours late to sit with mom. As most of my SIL are teachers it looks like after mid august dh and I will have her most of the time. (day and night) One of my sil is dealing with alzheimers with her own MIl and is thinking of hiring a sitter to split her days between her mom and MIL. That would be a tremendous help as I sleep during the day and her schedule could coincide with mine. My dh and kids spent the night at her house lastnight and MY DH GOT UP AND COOKED HIS AND HER BREAKFAST! AND HE LOADED THE DISHWASHER! LOL!!! boy was I in shock. If he can do it at her home I expect to see a little more done at my home. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers I know this will be an adjustment.
